Let's continue with the history of the contest, now The Netherlands were eliminated this year due of the controversy with Joost hitting a photographer (still the investigation in course) my favourites are 1957, 1975, 1993,1998,1999, 2013,2014,2019 and 2024, not a fan with Netherlands in the contest   1st places in 1957 ,1959,1969,1975 and 2019  2nd places in 2014 3rd places in 1974   Qualified since the semifinals in 2004 in: 2004,2013,2014,2016,2017,2018,2019,2022 and 2024 (prequalified in 2021 for being the host country and the winner in 2019, 2020 cancelled due to covid)       Now 4th place France, the first BIG 5 country, my favourites are 1976,1990,1991,1995,2002,2009,2010,2016,2017,2019,2021. I prefer them in 20th century than nowadays.   1st places in 1958,1960,1962,1969,1977 2nd places in 1976,1990,1991,2021 3rd places in 1959,1965,1967,1968,1978,1979,1981   Qualified since the semifinals in 2004: Directly qualified for the final as part of the BIG 5   And 5th place Israel, leaving the current situation apart, I LOVE THEM in the 20th century and in this century also very good songs but others very bad so very inconsistent, one of my favourite countries,a lot of gems, my favourites are 1978, 1981,1982,1983,1985,1991,1998 (first transgender woman to win the contest),1999,2005 (one of the best ballads in the entire contest),2014 (robbed!!) 2015,2018,2020,2023   1st places in 1978,1979,1998 and 2018 2nd places in 1982 and 1983 3rd places in 1991 and 2023   Qualified since the introduction of the semifinals in 2004: 2005,2008,2009,2010,2015,2016,2017,2018,2021,2023 and 2024 (prequalified in 2006 because they made top 10 in 2005 for the rules of that time with only one semifinal and 2019 being the host country and winner in 2018)
