1. Carter (my favorite performance from him. that was beautiful)

2. Desz (she SLAYED)

 

3. Tamara (she also slayed, can't ignore the comparisons to other versions though)

Great job!

3. Bailey (What’s wrong with me :lmao:)

4. John (Only here for his excellent opening. The second half was messy)

5. Cami (Similar to John, but her opening wasn’t as strong as John’s)

6. Ian (Mess but bonus points for tone)

7. Tamara (She was really, really off)

8. Ben (Hated almost everything about this)

9. Jim (His high notes were painful enough for me to put him last)

 

This night was almost a disaster. Desz and Carter saved it for me.

AMAZING

1. DeSz (One of the best overall performances this show has seen)

2. Carter Rubin (Exhibited all of the qualities minivan would ever want)

GREAT

3. Bailey Rae (Shocked that she is here, but she was very good)

GOOD

4. Jim (I actually enjoyed this performance, it was very good)

5. Ian (Very emotional performance)

OKAY

6. John Holliday (This song choice did no favors for his voice)

7. Cami Clune (Boring performance (generally I like her))

MEH

8. Tamara Jade (She sounded uninspired by the song)

ANNOYING

9. Ben Allen (Gyth flashbacks)

Based on my notes:

  1. Desz (all hail Queen Desz 👑)
  2. Carter (he's still the likely winner, but I preferred Desz by a smidge tonight)
  3. John (surprisingly liked him a lot tonight, his middle of the song was a little messy though)
  4. Cami (I am biased because it's Cami, sue me)
  5. Bailey (most logical song choice of the night, but was kinda "ehh")
  6. Jim (not bad, but his high notes were rough)
  7. Ian (song choice worked better than Jim's but I don't think it's his best work)
  8. Ben (TPTB really said "run him over repeatedly with the bus")
  9. Tamara (a major let-down given the studio was one of the best, and this...wasn't)

In order of which performance I enjoyed the most not in the order of who is actually better

 

9- Tamara Jade _ The worst version of Let It Be I've seen on this show.

 

8- Ian Flanigan _ I tried to like it but I just couldn't. His previous performance was way better.

 

7- Bailey Ray _ Decent Job. Not Great but not Bad.

 

6- Ben Allen _  Same as Bailey.

 

5- Cami Clune _ She started off really strong but the ending was a little bit of shaky. But I still like the other parts.

 

4- DeSz _ Solid as always.

 

3- Carter Rubin _ It was better than his studio for sure. He shows great emotion in every song. I think it's safe to call him THE WINNER of S19.

 

2- Jim Ranger _ I didn't think I would like it much after the studio version but He really proved me wrong. It was so intense and emotional. Easy to see why all four coaches were on their feet.

 

1- John Holiday _ It was such an INREDIBLE performance. And I'm with John L that it's great to not be PERFECT for a once and show the emotion instead. His voice is so beautiful and Angelic. He deserves top 3. If he doesn't get the PV tomorrow then I'm out.

 

But I gotta say in all honesty John/Carter/DeSz were the top three best of the night.

Well with one exception, tonight was a mess for me lol.

 

1. DeSz (9/10) - Here we have the contestant with the riskiest/least conventional song choice of the night NAILING IT and securing her spot in the finale. I chose the right contestant to root for this season and I am glad!

2. John Holiday (8/10) - The studio didn't do much for me, but I'm glad he did well live. There was still a bit of awkwardness when the beat picked up at the end, but I appreciate this man's talent so much.

3. Ian Flanigan (8/10) - I think I enjoyed this one more than most on here. Not a perfect vocal from him, but a comforting performance and one of the more interesting ones of the night.

4. Carter Rubin (8/10) - I think this is my favorite of his - preferred his studio though. I was expecting something just a bit more spectacular and it never quite reached that level for me. I'd bet money on him to win this but the only reason I'd root for him honestly is to give Gwen the win.

5. Cami Clune (7/10) - This was messy, messy, messy. The good moments were equal to the bad. Really disappointing...

6. Bailey Rae (7/10) - This did nothing for me. She's done nothing for me this whole competition except have a good performance at the worst possible moment to get Payge eliminated.

7. Tamara Jade (6/10) - Yikes! This is probably the hardest semifinals flop in the past few seasons, and definitely one of the most unexpected. She started rough and just never found her footing unfortunately.

8. Jim Ranger (5/10) - Some parts of this were absolutely dreadful, and I'm not even describing Ben that way. This didn't work, period.

9. Ben Allen (4/10) - I'm not gonna say it I'm not gonna say it I'm not gonna say it I'm not gonna say it (He's living up to expectations)

 

Prediction: PV: DeSz, Carter, John, Ian + IS Ben > Tamara > Cami > Jim > Bailey

Want: PV: DeSz, Carter, John, Ian + IS Cami > Tamara > Jim > Bailey > Ben

1. DeSz - Perfection.

2. Carter - The vocals were there (as usual). Please consider Itsy Bitsy Spider for finale closer.

3. Ian - Great tone. Sadly he has nothing else to offer.

4. John - I thought the first part was stunning but the second part got real messy real quick. Oh and leave out the vocal gymnastics next time when singing this song. It doesn't fit.

5. Cami - It was messy here and there, some notes fell flat but I love her so freaking much I find it painful to criticize. Be prepared for the IS guys!

6. Bailey - She's the most boring contestant. At least she's consistent I guess.

7. Ben - Again, boring. Better than several previous country finalists though. Next time sing some real country like Waylon.

8. Tamara - Not only far from Kyla and Ricky but far from everyone else above.

9. Jim -
