I have the Jesse Teinaki bias but that was certainly a deserving 4-chair performance I think all the coaches gave pretty decent pitches (Or I mean… whatever you call Blake’s pitch) but upon first guess I would’ve assumed he went with John and Gwen. I knew something felt off but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what. Anyways, apart from that and the run he did at the end (a bit too extra for my taste), great audition. Andrew was solid! I do agree that the falsetto parts were kind of dodged, but I mean, he knows his strengths, so that was probably a mindful choice. At this point, I don’t know how you keep Bryce, Morgan or Kim out of the finale, other than a massive fleet of busses. Bryce is a lock for PV. I’d like to say the other two are, as well, but you never know with this audience. Regardless, either one would be very difficult to beat in a save situation. I think 20 would’ve been a great number. IDF did say this about Joshua last season, and he made it through several rounds just by being a consistently strong performer, despite not necessarily appealing to the core audience. Perhaps I’m just being hopeful, since I loved Omar’s audition.
