This is hard tbh, but I have to go with:

(BEST)

1. Maelyn Jarmon - Stay

2. Amber Carrington - Sad

3. Addison Agen - Both Sides Now

4. Ali Caldwell - I Will Always Love You

5. Kyla Jade - Let It Be

HM: Keisha Renee - What Hurts The Most, Lauren Duski - Ghost In This House, Juliet Simms - Its A Man's World, Tessanne Chin - Bridge Over Troubled Water, Hannah Huston - When A Man Loves A Woman

Will give WORST, in a bit as I think more.

Strictly talking semifinal wise

BEST:

1- Jordan Smith - Somebody to Love

2- Noah Mac - River

3- Kyla Jade - Let it Be

4- Tessanne Chin - Bridge over Troubled Water

5- Sundance Head - Love Can Build a Bridge

Jordan is the undisputable king when it comes to the semifinals for me, I mean, he tackled Queen and nailed it. Noah and Kyla had by far their best weeks and exhibited their artistry at their full level, and Tessanne and Sundance pretty much secured the win with their performances.

WORST:

1- Carter Lloyd Horne - Take Me To Church

2- Zach Seabaugh - The Climb

3- Gyth Rigdon - God Bless the USA

4- Brennley Brown - Suds in the Bucket

5- Aaron Gibson - (Everything I Do) I Do It for You

I loved Aaron throughout the season, but that was not good in the least. We all know what happened with Carter, Gyth had a huge song and didn´t live up to it, Zach had by far his worst performance, and Brennley had a legitimate shot at the finale but that song did it in for her.

No specific order.

Top 5:

Maelyn Jarmon - Stay

Rose Short - I Want to Know What Love Is

Kyla Jade - Let it Be

Brooke Simpson - Faithfully

Jordan Smith - Somebody to Love

Bottom 5:

Kirk Jay - I Swear

Gyth Rigdon - God Bless The U.S.A

Barrett Baber - Ghost

Will Breman - Locked Out of Heaven

Carter Lloyd Horne - Take Me to Church

This was actually really hard to decide for both categories.

Top 6 (after Jordan, no order within and I couldn't pick just one between Maelyn and Amber):

#1: Jordan Smith - Somebody to Love

  • Kyla Jade - Let it Be
  • Lauren Duski - Ghost in This House
  • Maelyn Jarmon - Stay
  • Rose Short - I Want to Know What Love Is
  • Amber Carrington - Sad

The Two Most Spectacularly Bad:

  • Gyth Rigdon - God Bless the USA
  • Carter Lloyd Horne - Take Me To Church

Big Yikes(TM) Moments:

  • Taylor John Williams - Falling Slowly
  • Braiden Sunshine - Amazing Grace
  • Zach Seabaugh - The Climb
  • Brennley Brown - Suds In The Bucket
  • Hello Sunday - Don't You Worry Bout a Thing

Putting Jordan anywhere but #1 on this list feels like a crime - there's a very few performances that get me to go "Holy [EXPLETIVE]" but nailing a Queen song will do that. Speaking of crimes,  Rose ending up in the middle three after that was absolutely a crime. Kyla and Lauren also had their best nights then and both covers get me emotional. I tried to pick between Maelyn and Amber but both of them were on a whole other level of good with those songs.

Gyth's cringefest cemented him as the big threat to Maelyn given it's full of things Minivan laps up with a spoon, but vocally it was rough; Carter's performance is the only thing protecting Gyth from being the worst of the night. I understand Carter wanted to make his fans happy, but the song was just not in the right key for him and was too high in range. Taylor John Williams came off a high point and crashed spectacularly. Zach and Braiden had their best nights on the semifinals, but it doesn't mean that either of them should've been in the semifinals in the first place. Brennley was a victim of bad song selection; Hello Sunday's was a hot mess all around.

1. Jordan Smith - Somebody to Love

2. Amber Carrington - Sad

3. Rose Short - IWTKWLI

4. Chris Jamison - When I Was Your Man

5. Tessanne Chin - Bridge Over Troubled Water (perfect vocals, incredible ending)

HM:

Josh Kaufman - All Of Me / Love Runs Out

Worst

There are way too many bad performances to mention, but Barrett’s Ghost, Jake Worthington’s Good Old Boys (his entire run in general), Jackie’s Here I Go Again, Brennley’s iconic bus and almost all S16 performance (specially Carter’s) are big trainwrecks.

Carter Lloyd Horne - Take Me to Church

This was actually really hard to decide for both categories.

I love Will but LOH was really just bad, John just flopped on that song choice.

Out of all posted, this pretty hitted the nail on the head with me. Except with the Bottom 5, I would put

Carter Lloyd Horne- Take Me to Church

Gyth Rigdon- God Bless the U.S.A

Reagan Strange- You are the Reason

Zach Seabugh- The Climb

Brennley Brown- Suds in the Bucket

Addison Agen - Both Sides Now

Kyla Jade - Let It Be

Rose Short - I Want To Know What Love Is

Keisha Renee - What Hurts The Most

Addison once again showed how beautifully she can convey emotion, while Kyla showed us a more restrained version of herself. Rose killed it with this song, and Keisha was imo robbed of at least getting a shot at the IS after this amazing performance.

Agreed on these two position-wise; I continue to be shocked at how well Addison can convey emotion, and this performance was an amazing example of that. I really felt like I was taking in the meaning of the song as she went, even though when listening to music, I don't usually internalize the lyrics/meaning of the lyrics.

Addison wasn't even my favorite that season (I was rooting for Chloe and Noah) but damn if that performance didn't make her my third favorite. It gave me chills.

Easily one of the best/most appropriate song choices of the whole show.

Surprised I'm not seeing more love for Chloe's version of IDKWLI. I prefer her version to Rose's even though Rose is the superior vocalist.

I love Chloe's version but I liked other stuff from her in the live shows better (TEOTH being the first thing that comes to mind) and I had to narrow it down so that put it on the chopping block - if I'd had an "honorable mentions" section that would go there.

Sorry can't do a 5. No way I'm not including all of my favorites.

1. Jordan Smith - "Somebody To Love" - SLAYYYYY! One word, "PERFECT"

2. Kyla Jade - "Let it Be" - She should've been crowned as the winner right after that moment. Biggest robbery in the history of this show.

3. Cam Anthony - "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday" - INCREDIBLE. Pitch perfect and the fact that he does those runs like they were a piece of cake for him is astonishing.

4. Tessanne Chin - "Bridge Over Troubled Water" - Top Notch vocals. What a STUNNING performance.

5. Adam Wakefield - "I'm Sorry" - An underrated gem. There's a reason why he is still to this day my fav country act ever.
6. Chloe Kohanski - "I Want to know what love is" - Her Tone.

7. Amber Carrington - "Sad" - ROBBED QUEEN!

8. Maelyn Jarmon - "Stay" - She slayed that. The savior of s16.

9. Josh Kaufman - "All of me" - Incredible showing of vocals and emotion.

10. Matt McAndrew - "Make it Rain" - See Chloe.

11. Thunderstorm Artis - "Home" - Our rightful winner of s18.

12. Lauren Duski - "Ghoost in this house" - Chills everywhere.

Matt McAndrew - Make It Rain (First time I heard this song on this show and I really loved it)

Worst 5

These are my worst 5 that I have watched, for those mentioned above on other's list that are not included in this, I never watched them and I think they are worth watching.

Rayshunn Lamarr - Imagine (He ruined the song oooof)

Spensha Baker - My Church (This girl made the finale with not hitting the right notes and she sound super annoying along with Rayshun)

Zach Seabaugh - The Climb (I remember this moment and it was trash, wtf he even got to sing for the IS)

Aaron Gibson - (Everything I Do) I Do It for You (Sad for Aaron his voice is super tired and he can't hit some notes, singing for IS for 3 weeks is very tiring)

Carter Lloyd Horne - Take Me to Church (I never watch after CB and I accidentally watched this on YT due to autoplay and I was doing something. Ooof)
