Overall, the pitches have been terrible. They are designed to create trouble for batsmen. There is grass on them, which allows the ball to swing and seam a lot.
But I can see why they did that. They didn't want this to be an easy going for the big teams. In order to make it more interesting, so the smaller/newer teams could have some chance.

But he was, Indeed, a fan favorite for a LONG time, there is a reason for why he stayed as long as he did. A lot of people loved his banter with Blake. That was one of the main selling points of the show. But from what i perceive, at one point most people just got tired or just didn't care of that dynamic anymore. They never got tired of Blake tho, Blake always had his fanbase, and people started to embrace his dynamic with Kelly once she started being a coach, leaving Adam out of conversation. Then Adam just ruined his reputation on the show with robegate. And he leaves after his team ended up being obliterated on S16.
