1234567890
Toni Collette in Hereditary is a perfect example of that.
aliasocfan
Like I said earlier, anything there's a good horror movie, people like to underplay it and say it's a thriller. (on social media, I saw so many people do that with the Invisible Man this year)Well thriller is a subsection of horror. (Some) people just associate horror movies with slasher movies and torture porn. Edited May 25, 2020 by aliasocfan
1234567890
Horror fans are among the most loyal. There are literal conventions where these fans meet up and meet their favorite horror characters. It’s pretty amazing tbh.

Elliott
The only complaint I have about Us is that the twist was made a bit too obvious. Otherwise I thought it was perfect. #kanyeshrug
NGM
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit I'm bringing this brief break in the discussion of horror as a mistreated and misunderstood film genre so we can hopefully move on (even if there is someone else that hasn't done their write up, which makes this effort incredibly unproductive). Anyway, topic of discussion: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (yes, I will use the title several times to get this done faster, worry about your own issues). It was released in 2014 and stars Chris Pine, Kevin Costner, Branagh, and Keira Knightley. I'm assuming this was vetoed by the devil since Keira has a deal about doing close to only period films. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is a reboot of this franchise (which is originally a book series and also got success in videogames) and was dedicated to Tom Clancy, author of the books, who passed away in 2013. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit got mixed reviews and I don't think anyone cares about it, which makes it an easy cut. You can go back to arguing about horror movies now. I have watched all those films except for The Witch and only two of those I would consider to be best of the decade films. I liked Us and Cloverfiled Lane a lot but none are top 20 worthy and well, my opinions of Midsommar are already known by now Edited May 25, 2020 by .Rei

Steven_
I guess we’re all split in regards to horror. I thought there was an overwhelming favoritism for horror movies, but it looks like that’s not the case after all.
