It’s crazy that Adam had only 1 first audition and he used to have a reputation for getting the most 4 chair turns and having the strongest teams

I mean, he was pretty much the king of the 4 chair turns at first. He got both of the 2 four chairs in season 1, and a big majority of them on S2-S5-S6 and overall the majority of the contestants at the time seemed to lean towards him since he pretty much was perhaps at his most popular in those initial years (2011-2013).

But of course there was S8, where pretty much nobody chose him, although he recovered in S9. After that though, contestants stopped flocking to him. S14 was probably his lowest point in auditions. He didn´t even get any 3 chair turns there (unless you count Jackie F in the battles).

Blake´s lowest point in auditions was S11, where very few people were choosing him and overall he had the weakest blinds team, since almost everyone was flocking to Alicia and Miley, and even Adam had more success. Ironically he ended up winning the season with Sundance.

And Gwen did the same with Carter on S19 after not having success in blinds. All it takes is one.

Jackie’s audition only turned two chairs, but if we’re going off her being a triple steal then yeah, that’s accurate.

The highlighted ones are the battle steals who eventually became finalists, which is a total of 6, including 1 winner (Craig).

Including 3 finalists, with the winner included, 10 of them were double steals/saves (5 from S13 and earlier which had a large percentage of successful battle steals, and 5 from S14-present out of 7). Of these 10, 4 (Will, Craig, Hannah and CammWess) were stolen back by their original coach, 5 (Shalyah Tess, Jackie, Rod and Joanna) had three coaches and 1 (SandyRedd) was saved by her new coach

S21:

This part's a spoiler, just so you know ;)

Maybe wanna keep it on the thread.

But to add on to the only other examples of this:

S7: Sugar Joans vs. Jean Kelley, Pharrell's steals

S8: Brian Johnson vs. Joshua Davis, Adam's Steals

S13: Adam Pearce vs. Whitney Fenimore, Miley's Steals

Only the following individuals have made it past the Playoffs after having their KO montaged:

Matt McAndrew (S7)

Zach Seabaugh (S9)

Mark Isaiah (S12)
Jon Mero (S13)

Myracle Holloway (S17)

Mind you, only the first two moved on via PV, being the only contestants in history to achieve that, I believe. The bottom three had to be saved by their coach. Of course the S13 playoffs consisted on 3 coach picks, but given what we saw, Jon would have still needed the save on a normal playoff.

More proof about how important the KO round is to the artists. Battle montages are much easier to brush off, but a KO montage is a heavy hitter.

From S8 to S20, none of the winners made their first appearance on a Tuesday blinds episode. All of them were featured on a Monday.

The last winner that was featured on a Tuesday episode was Craig Wayne Boyd on S7, and even back then they had 2 hrs episodes like Mondays.

Wow...this is really interesting 😮. I think a reason for this is that TPTB likes to fill the Tuesday episodes with... i don't want to sound rude, but, you know... fodder. They don't want to waste the potential frontrunners on one hour episodes that are probably the least viemed ones.

That actually depends.

While no winner from S8 to S20 has appeared on a Tuesday blinds episode, some people there have gone far. Think of Ep 4 from S15, a Tuesday: Chris Kroeze, Reagan Strange, Mackenzie Thomas. One of them made finale and the other two made semis. Even SandyRedd made Top 13. That´s actually more people that made lives than the S18 premiere.

On the other hand, you have Tuesday episodes like Ep 4 from S17 where nobody featured made lives.

A good factor could indeed be that less people tend to tune in on Tuesdays than on Mondays, so in theory you´d prefer your favorites to appear on a Monday.

The only time a winner appeared on a Tuesday audition episode was because they were the last audition

Even with finalists, not many appear on a Tuesday. From S16-20, only one finalist appeared on a Tuesday episode (Toneisha). This is also because they are shorter (and rarer in S16, 18 and 20).

Yeah, that´s why I didn´t count Chris in, since he had to be on a Tuesday by default, not by TPTB´s choice.

Yeah, that makes sense, actually. I was thinking of the last few seasons (You know, the ones with the infamous "Episodes 4") but in fact, the runner-up from Season 18 was featured in the only Tuesday episode of blind auditions from that season

I do have to say, that for S15, I personally preferred the Tuesday blinds episodes to the Monday ones. More interesting artists to me. Of course, 3 of the finalists appeared on Monday and only one on Tuesday, but like I said, the people on Ep 4 made it far. That was kind of a rare exception for a Tuesday.
