I wanna revive this topic! ❤️

There were only four (or technically six lol) 4-chair turns in Season 19: Tamara Jade, Desz, Cami Clune, and Worth the Wait. None of them were men.

There were nine 3-chair turns in Season 19 (Jim Ranger, Marisa Corvo, John Holiday, Taryn Papa, Sid Kingsley, Rio Souma, Ben Allen, Sam Stacy, Tanner Gomes, Julia Cooper).

Also, I'm still counting and I'm up to Season 8 - but so far, I think every season from 1-8, except for Season 4, had one song that was performed twice on two different occasions, by two different contestants.

People in the spoiler thread:

Either way, she is the first AA female to actually be onscreen when Carson announced the winner.

As she should.

So, season 19 is the second one in row in which there is only one woman in Top 5 - and for the second time it's AA queen, in S18 Toneisha Harris and in S19 DeSz.

With Rose Short's S17 4th place it's third season in row with diva in the finale, which during all the season didn't happen really often.

And kind of supposal one - if Gwen wins with Carter this season, she would join Adam, Blake and Kelly as the only coaches, who delivered winners in fall seasons.

In the past 4 seasons, S17 was the only one that had at least 2 women in the finale.

What's the women to men ratio in the finales? Must be something pathetic.

Edit: 31 women, 45 men, better than I expected.

Doing the opposite, Season 7 has the least amount of 1 chairs with 8 followed by Season 13 and 17 tied with 10. Season 2 has the most with 22 followed by Season 3 with 19.

Actually S17 only had 9...

Ella Mae, HS, Elise, Jake Hoot, Jessie, Lauren, Steve, Damalli and Caroline

Because Worth the Wait has three singers, so technically six women total got 4-chair turns this season (Tamara, Desz, Cami, - and Mia, Jacy, and Tara).

Im pretty sure only Mia would have gotten a chair turn (not even 4) if they sung solo.

Definitely, but I’m pretty sure they were just joking

I wouldn’t say rose or Toneisha are divas. Maybe DesZ.

So apart from Jim becoming the second Coach Save in the playoffs to reach Top 2, he also becomes the 7th Coach Save to make the finale, joining The Swon Brothers, Will Champlin, Chris Jamison, Koryn Hawthorne, EAR and Spensha Baker in this honor.

Forgot to mention, Gwen was one of the three coaches that hadnt had an artists get PV into the finale until last week. Now theres only two remaining: Shakira and JHud

P.D: Even though both Gwen and Nick got their artists through the Top 5 format, it was obvious that Carter and Thunderstorm were getting PV on a normal format, so I'm counting them in.

Gwen Stefani is the 4th female coach to win the show (the other 3 is Christina, Alicia and Kelly).

And with this fact, from S11 to S19, out of 9 seasons, 5 have been won by female coaches - s12 for Alicia, s14,15,17 for Kelly and s19 for Gwen and in comparison to the first ten seasons, where it was 9 male wins to 1 Christina win, it is something really great!

And also, with Jim Ranger placing 2nd, he is the fifth runner-up in row for Team Blake.

And - S19 is actually pretty similar to S18 if it comes to final prediction - in both seasons in Top 3 there have been two people from Blake and one person from rotative coach (Nick and Gwen), Kelly and John in both seasons have been 4th and 5th.

Carter is one of three winners who Blake didn't turn around for - Chris Blue and Jake Hoot are the others. Between the three of them:

  • Chris was the last artist to get a chair turn on the show, so Blake's team was full and he couldn't turn.
  • Jake Hoot is the only "true" one-chair turn to win (as in, other teams still had spots but Kelly was the only one to turn). Blake claimed he thought Kelly blocked him and that's why he didn't turn; whether or not that's true remains unknown.
  • Carter is the only multi-chair turn to win that Blake didn't turn for; however, by the time Carter auditioned, Blake's team was full so even if he wanted to turn, he couldn't.

Carter is also the first artist that has won the show since Kelly joined that she hasn't turned her chair for.
