The story involves Philadelphia couple Dorothy and Sean Turner who hire a young nanny, Leanne, to move in and take care of Baby Jericho, a reborn doll after the death of their 13-week old son. Dorothy believes the doll is her real child and it was the only thing that brought her out of her catatonic state following Jericho's death. Sean becomes deeply suspicious of Leanne while dealing with his grief. I'm not that huge on possession horror flicks to begin with so out this goes. The show starred Jennifer Love Hewitt who is known for movies like I know what you did last summer and tv shows like Ghost Whisperer and The Client List . The show was based in a movie that was released on the same channel where Jennifer Love Hewitt also starred, however she played a different character lol. Jennifer plays Riley Parls, who starts working at a day spa where the masseuses usually provide more than massages to specific clients. Riley navigates this new job while trying to keep what she does there as a secret to her children (who she is trying to support), her mother and friends. The show was cancelled after only 25 episodes and two seasons. The show sparked some controversy during its run and was the subject of a nationwide campaign by licensed therapists to stop the show from airing claiming that the show was perpetuating the misconception that Massage Therapy includes inappropriate sexual contact. *Chris Posted December 31, 2019 Share Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) qNZA98rB4bc My cut for this round is American Odyssey, a TV show that aired on NBC for one whole season until it got cancelled due to poor ratings & negative reviews. What is American Odyssey? The best way to describe it is by calling it a cheap version of "Homeland". But in all seriousness, the show is about Sergeant Odelle Ballard who is on a mission in Mali - her unit suffers an attack where she is the sole survivor even though everyone expects her to be deceased. Throughout the show, Odelle is racing against the clock to get to safety after she found some information about a major corporation - she meets Aslam who is helping throughout all of this. Along the way, they run into obstacles and there's this guy named Luc whom is a french drug dealer - he basically threw her under the bus where everyone was seeking her. At the end of the series, she finds herself in Spain where she makes a brave decision to disappear with her family after she reveals the secret information she found... Overall, the show wasn't bad but it was not Homeland and it was clear that the producers didn't expect it to be cancelled as it ends with Odelle returns to the USA disguised as a journalist.
