Winterfan Posted April 15, 2022 Share Posted April 15, 2022 Since voting has officially started and the field of the remaining singers/artists is being narrowed down even further, I really wanted to make a song suggestion thread for this season, especially since I feel several of the contestants could really use some guidance when it comes to choosing songs this year. The first person I want to make some song suggestions for is Nicolina. She is one of my favorite singers on the show this year, but I really worry for her when it comes to making song choices. So 2 songs I think she could do a really good job covering that haven't been covered to death yet are Beautiful by Christina Aguilera and for Disney night, I think she could do a great job covering The Place Where Lost Things Go from Mary Poppins Returns. And even though I don't love him, I really do think Tristen should give serious consideration to singing Beggin' by Maneskin and Cadence might be wise to give some consideration to covering I Hope by Gabby Barrett. That's all I have for right now. I look forward to reading what song suggestions other posters have for the contestants as the season continues on. She should do that song as she won't have any high notes to strain on. If Mike really is committed to staying in the country lane, maybe he can sing something like Colder Weather by Zac Brown?? BrettTheVoiceFan Posted April 15, 2022 Share Posted April 15, 2022 Only have time to think of a few but some of my suggestions would be: Sage- "cardigan" by Taylor Swift Ava- "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper (yeah ik the song is overdone but I think a version similar to Tayler Green's would be cool for her) Fritz- Literally anything by Bon Iver lollll (but I would personally love "Towers") Leah- "Gold Dust Woman" by Fleetwood Mac Nicolina- "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton (Big song but I have faith in her!) Noah- "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon (Its outside of his genre but I think it could work) Katryah- "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae I'll think of more later... And once again, I definitely think they would be wise to give some consideration to singing some of them. Anyway, I now have even more song suggestions for some of this season's contestants. First off, I would really like Nicolina to give some consideration to also singing My Funny Valentine by Ella Fitzgerald, It's All Coming Back to Me Now by Celine Dion and one of the renditions of Beauty and the Beast. I'd really like Lady K to consider singing Damn Eyes by Etta James, Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, Superwoman by Alicia Keys and Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys. I think HunterGirl should give some consideration to singing Meant to Be by Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line, The Chain by Fleetwood Mac and Love is Blindness by U2. I believe Cadence should give some consideration to performing I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton and some Jessie Ware songs. I think Elli should consider covering some Ellie Goulding or Colbie Caillat songs. I feel Stars by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals might be a good song for Sage to sing. I think Leah could potentially do a great stripped down version of Creep by Radiohead. I'd love to hear Leah or Fritz cover I've Got No Strings from Pinocchio for Disney night. I think Fritz could do a decent job performing something like Unwell by Matchbox Twenty. I think Man in the Mirror could be a good song for Christian or Jacob to sing. That's all the suggestions I have for right now. And I'm sorry that I love making song suggestions as much as I do, but I just don't want to see a contestant shoot themselves in the foot because of a bad song choice.
