I was skeptical at first but after tonight it certainly looks like Bodie is Blake’s only shot. No Voice winner has won the show singing like Bryce or Brayden.

You're probably right, but all I'm saying is he's got momentum, and a lot of it. Not a lot of people truly stepped up from their previous performances but he did (he had the lowest bar to clear though :ph34rwave:)

I don't even get the huge reaction or response.  It was a pretty ordinary performance.  Nothing spectacular.

I think some of it’s boosted by being the only one in his KO who didn’t struggle with the song they chose. He’s also young, country-pop-ish sounding, and doesn’t look   like a deer in headlights onstage. Being Team Blake doesn’t hurt either.

 

I don’t 100% understand his appeal, but I can see why the traditional audience demographic might back him.

Remember the trio from a few seasons back, with the mom and two daughters? I think they had the best Facebook numbers in the KO. Just sayin’….

 

Edit: Worth The Wait. I had to look it up. Actually, they had good numbers in the playoffs too, but the comment section was a mess.

Brayden seems less polarizing though, although that could change if he falters in the live shows(which is very much a possibility)

I must say, I'm kinda surprised how well Devix's KO did on FB. In terms of reacts, he now has the 5th most out of the individual videos. Only behind Brayden, Kique, Bryce, and Parijita. Obviously Brayden is the social media revelation here, but just saying. Devix might have a bigger chance of getting a PV on his team than we think. It'll take the right song.

That's a pleasant surprise. I'll keep my Kate prediction up (I see her having more appeal amongst casuals ), but I'm all for Devix getting it if he's given the right song. Apparently he's excited.

I’m not taking this one on. I’ll just watch and see what happens this time. :haha:
 

I will say there is a significant portion of the audience that supports the female R&B/Soul powerhouse singers every season, and Kim is very good. Omar comes off as a one trick pony….mostly mediocre singing cloaked by a single glory note in every performance. Will that tactic work every week? Also…in this particular performance, he got a lot of help from the background singers. There were times when I couldn’t even hear him.

No matter what the order will be, I think Parijita, Kim, and Omar are making it to the next round one way or another.

That's what I'm waiting for.  A nice ballad from Omar.  All he's done are uptempo songs.  Blind, Battle, Knockout, and Playoff.

These are extremely low numbers when you consider the show still rakes in under 6 million US viewers (as of the latest ratings data). And we can't even say that the likes and views are coming from eligible US voters. Same way YouTube was never a reliable voting metric.

 

 

The only thing we can deduce from this is that the Minivan voting demo loves Parijita and Brayden. And no matter how many jokes we say about their hold on the show, there are just a fraction of the 6 million  viewers of this show. Everything is up in the air at this point.

Parijita will have the most views from that group. As to votes, the views-to-likes ratio could be a better metric to watch. Based on that, Parijita and Kim would probably get the public votes. Unless Omar has hidden voters not reflected on social media.
