This movie came out in 2014. It is classified as a independent black comedy. This movie received very favorable reviews. It has a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The average is 7.46/10.  On metacritic it has a 75/100 score. Once again quite similar to the average on Rotten Tomatoes.  I am very familiar with the three leads: Michael Fassbender, Domhall Gleeson and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The other three people listed I am not sure about, so they do not get mentioned!

The movies budget was 1 million. It made 1.9 million at the Box Office. I am choosing to look at it that they doubled their budget at the box office. Manipulating numbers is fun!

I have seen the trailer of this movie on Netflix before and it is one I will watch whenever I get the chance but for now is the one I'm choosing to cut. The Perfection is a 2019 psychological horror thriller film directed by Richard Shepard. The film stars Allison Williams, Logan Browning, Steven Weber and Alaina Huffman and it follows troubled musical prodigy Charlotte who after seeking new star pupil of her former school, Elizabeth, get both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences. The film received good reviews and it has a Tomatoscore of 73% and a Metascore of 60 with critics praising the performances by the two leads. The film was released on Netflix so no box office info for you this time. I will let you know if the film is good or not after I watch it.

Don Jon

I'm not really a fan of this movie and have just not been able to cut it yet. So I guess thanks everybody for leaving it last even if I had to lose a few favorites in this round (JK I'VE NOT EVEN SEEN WHAT WAS CUT BESIDES RAW. AND THE SHAPE OF WATER. Taking back the JK gonna make it a :( instead). Anyway, this won't be my best write-up because I'm like still unpacking and I've honestly made a lot more progress than I thought thought the thought of re-organizing my books again is making me wish I had telekinesis powers.

Anyway, Don Jon is the story of Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt who also wrote and directed the movie) who fashions himself as a modern day Don Juan, though he finds himself far more sexually satisfied from watching pornography than through actual sex. He tries to pursue a relationship with Barbara (Scarlett Johansson) but she ends up breaking up with him after she discovers that he hasn't stopped his porn habit and lied about it to her. He then encounters Esther (Julianna Moore) who he eventually forms an emotional sexual connection with. At the end of the movie Barbara reaches out again and Jon rebuffs her in favor of Esther who he starts dating. It's all right. It's certainly odd that Joseph Gordon-Levitt hasn't directed anything since this film since he got a lot of good reviews for his directorial work.

FROZEN 2

I'm not really a fan of either Frozen movie, though the first one is obviously the better one so I have no issues cutting this one here. Frozen 2 is the sequel to the smash-hit Frozen (which was responsible for us hearing Let It Go about two-thousand times each month for the last five/six years; Frozen 2, thankfully, doesn't seem to have any songs that have become overexposed in the same vein, so yay for that), and takes place three years after it. In the sequel, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven embark on a journey to discover the origin of Elsa's magical powers after a mysterious voice speaks to Elsa. The film made an incredible $1.5 billion at the box office, living up to the expectations of Mouse Company. The film has a 77% at Rotten Tomatoes, so I imagine a third film will be coming eventually.

La La Land

First, #tbt to the actors rankdown and how its two leads were the bane of my existence. Fun times  Anyway, this movie was released in 2016, directed by Damien Chazelle, and stars none other than Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, as an actress and pianist that are trying to make it in Los Angeles. It’s also a musical, which 9/10 will destroy any interest or possibility of me liking the movie. It was critically acclaimed, and won ton of awards, including the Oscar for Best Picture for 20 seconds or so before going to Moonlight.

Anyway, that’s about everything I have to say. Bye!
