I agree with a lot of them here. I would also add Chevel's performance of "Little White Church" in S15 and several of Jake Hoot's performances in S17. 😉

Fair enough. Jake is not going to tarnish my list, but speaking of S17, I forgot to add Rose’s rendition of God’s Country.

Audra McLaughlin - “You Lie” & “Angel From Montgomery”

Mary Sarah - “Where the Boys Are” (Yeah, I know it’s not a country song), “My Church” & “I Told You So”

Lauren Duski - “You Were Meant For Me” (It’s country when she sings it), “When You Say Nothing at All”, “Somewhere In My Broken Heart”, “Ghost In This House”, “Deja Vu”

Brynn Cartelli - “Here Comes Goodbye”

Chevel Shepherd - “Travelin’ Soldier”, “Grandpa”, “Little White Church”, “You’re Lookin’ At Country”, “It’s a Little Too Late”, “Broken Hearts”

With regards to S19, Maddie's KO is definitely at the top of my list. I also really liked her BA. I also really liked Bailey Rae's BA and Instant Save performances. This may be an unpopular opinion but I liked Tanner's BA. Also, his KO performance was definitely better than Marisa Corvo's trainwreck. 😅

For me personally, I'm not picky as long as the performance sounds decent. I tend to favour female country artists (e.g. Chevel, Taryn, Madeline, etc.) and individuals with a traditional country twang in their voice (e.g. Jake Hoot). I have feeling that I will like Kenzie in S20. 😊

“Landslide” isn’t originally a country song, but it is when the Dixie Chicks sing it. That’s how I view a song like “Angel From Montgomery.”  When Audra songs it..it’s country, but Joanna added a bunch of runs, and de-countrified it. Addison’s version was actually fairly country.

I’d say Marybeth’s was fairly country. Also, I just realized... is Audra McLaughlin the inspiration behind your username? 😯

Yeah, that’s when I started watching the show, and discovered IDF. Unfortunately, she flopped hard in the lives, except for “You Lie.”  Nerves got to her.

Alisan’s Let Him Fly is my #1 favorite, without question. Can’t really pinpoint why I find it so great, but nonetheless it’s a 10/10 for me.

CWB’s I Walk the Line is fantastic and probably the reason why I consider him the best country male singer to ever be on TV.

Keisha’s It Matters to Me is an underrated gem. Her tone is so pretty.

If Deja Vu is considered a country song, I would add it as well.

Todd’s Anymore is really good too. Sadly his other performances didn’t live up to it.

Adam Cunningham - Midnight Rider

Spensha Baker - "Old Soul". Best Original of the Finale and she did her best job on it.

Also "Down On My Knees" "Broken Halos" "Red" were other underrated ones in my eyes.

Gracee Shriver - "Rainbow" I loved this audition and it felt fresh.

"Leave The Pieces" Great version.

Of course pretty much all of Lauren Duski's performances as its being said on this thread. "Deja Vu" "Somewhere In My Broken Heart" "You Were Meant For Me" "Someone Else's Star" "The Dance"

Amber Carrington's performances too(she makes what she wants country, even if she went in the Rock/Pop lane at times) "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" "Sad" "Crazy" "I Remember You" "Good Girl"

I forgot one... James David Carter - “Nobody Knows”

Forgot about that one as well. So good.

Crazy to think this guy seemed like a shoo in for the finale and even winning. Based on the blinds and battles, I would have never guessed Craig would have beat him.

What hurt him was giving his weakest performance in the KOs whereas Craig actually had his breakout there.
