This movie is getting targeted a lot, so I may as well cut it so I can give it the write-up it deserves.

Oh, right. The film itself. According to Wikipedia, Love & Other Drugs is an R-rated American romantic comedy-drama film from 2010. It was directed, produced and co-written by Edward Zwick, and was based off of Jamie Reidy's non-fiction book Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway - who had previously starred together as a couple involving nudity in the 2005 drama Brokeback Mountain, as well Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria, Josh Gad and Gabriel Macht. It ultimately grossed $10 million and received mixed reviews from critics, but like it matters when Jake Gyllenhaal spends half of his screen time naked. I'm just saying.

G.B.F

GBF_film_poster.png

Yet another movie that I am indifferent about. Most other movies nominated I do actually care about. Sorry to this movie.

G.B.F. (for Gay Best Friend) is a teen comedy movie. It came out in 2013. Darren Stein is the director.

Let's see if I understand the basic synopsis of this movie. It starts with two (closeted) gay men. It seems like they are in a relationship? Honestly hard to tell. One of them ends up getting outed against their will. (which is absolutely terrible, I hope it's not played for laughs) I guess this somehow leads the one guy to become popular. It looks like he ended up being nominated for homecoming king? Wow. I do not miss high school at all.

This movie stars Michael J Willett, Sasha (wow. What an amazing name. Such star potential) Pierterse, Evanna Lynch and way too many other people to list.

Limitless

@Deeee says that Revenge is a good film so I spared it. If someone else cuts it than it's not my problem. :giggle:So Limitless was released in 2011 and is categorized as an 2011 American science fiction thriller film. The film was directed by Neil Burger and written by Leslie Dixon. The movie is based on the novel The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn that was released in 2001. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish, Robert De Niro, Andrew Howard, and Anna Friel. The film follows Edward Morra played by Bradley Cooper who is a stuggling writer. Edward is introduced to a drug called NZT-48 which gives him the ability to fully utilize his brain and vastly improve his lifestyle. The film became a box office success grossing over $161 million dollars on a budget of $27 million dollars. The film was adapted into a television show of the same name. The film took place after the events of the film  and debuted in 2015. It was cancelled after one season. I was more familiar with the television show than the movie tbh. :dead: The film was distributed by Relativity has an RT score of 69%. The film I was going to cut, Revenge, has an RT score of 93% so it looks like I made the right switch. 💋

NEIGHBORS

image.jpeg.61a0e246989d3589c7d0660c7034dc6c.jpeg

Like I mentioned earlier, I’m not a fan of Seth Rogen’s brand of comedy. So, I’ll take this chance to eliminate another one of his movies. Neighbors is about a family (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as husband and wife) having to live next door to a rowdy fraternity (led by Zac Efron). A rivalry occurs between them. And that’s it; that’s the whole movie. I have no interest watching this film, but it was a financial success and even led to a sequel. According to Wikipedia, this is actually Seth Rogen’s most financially successful live action movie. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 73% approval rating. Not the best rating, but it seems generous. The site also says “With plenty of bawdy humor evenly spread between its well-matched stars, Neighbors earns its R rating -- and filmgoers' laughs.” Anyway, sorry to any fans, but out goes Neighbors from the rankdown.

And I’m saving Captain America: The First Avenger.

The Ghost Writer (2010 dir. by Roman Polanski)

DefenselessInnocentFanworms-size_restric

The above GIF represents me after I finished my entire write-up, but then accidentally deleting the entire thing. LOL.

Anyways. I am happy at the opportunity to cut a film by Roman Polanski! A gift! Polanski is the scum of the earth, so I could care less about how good this film is or who stars in the film. This is also one of the few films remaining in the game that I have not yet seen. Basically, this is a very easy choice to make.

The Ghost Writer is a German-British political thriller based on the 2007 novel by Robert Harris, The Ghost. The plot of the film follows an unnamed ghost writer that is hired to complete an autobiography on the former British Prime Minister, after the former writer had died of an apparent drowning decision. As he begins work on the autobiography, the writer obviously stumbles upon major dark secrets that led to the death of the previous writer. Chaos ensues. There are obvious lies, deceptions, and war crimes going on that involves the former PM!

The film stars Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Williams, Kim Cattrall, Timothy Hutton, Tom Wilkinson, John Bernthal, and James Belushi. The film released to positive reviews, scoring an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and 77/100 on Metacritic. Critics praised the central performance given by McGregor and the tense screenplay. However, some British critics did not care for the film because...

The film is alluding to former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Roman Polanski sucks!
