Quick news and notes of past Voice contestants.

As it was mentioned in other thread, Hailey Mia (S21) is going on Idol.

Someone else that is auditioning this season there is Zae Romeo (S20). That's two voice alums so far. We'll have more (or likely already have more that I don't know).

I remember Zae was on IDF saying he was on LA and was hinting that something big was coming, and it had something to do with another TV show. I assumed Idol, and indeed it was.

This is not really related to post-show music but I don't think anyone posted, so here it is:

In addition to talk shows hosted by two former Voice coaches, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, The Sisaundra Show, hosted and produced by Sisaundra Lewis (top 8 Season 6, team Blake) has just begun its third season. You can have a quick look at the show on the show's fanpage:  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100050423682758&name=xhp_nt__fb__action__open_user

Sisaundra is one of the best vocalists to have been on The Voice and she sometimes sings in her talk show. Khalea Lynee (team John S17) made an appearance on her show a couple years ago as a Voice-alumni.

Plush released a performance video of their Barracuda cover in anticipation of their EP release Jan. 19. More info is leaking out about the EP - 4 new songs in addition to Barracuda and Left Behind, their latest single that placed in top 40 on Billboard's active rock chart.

Moriah's comment on the cover-

Quote

"We wanted to pay homage to HEART because they've inspired so many generations of musicians, and I've always looked up to Ann as a vocal legend," says vocalist Moriah Formica.

"As a band, our goal was to keep the song as close to the original as possible to keep the elements that everyone knows and loves, while also adding just the right amount of PLUSH to bring in our own style," Formica notes. "We hope you love our rendition and are brought down memory lane with us!"

Plush's Find the Beautiful EP is out, as well as their touring schedule into the summer. https://slrmagazine.com/2024/01/19/plush-releases-new-ep-find-the-beautiful/  The EP is on streaming and Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=plush+find+the+beautiful

My early favorites are Find the Beautiful, a bit of a folk rocker, and Kill the Noise. Moriah's vocals are solid.
