Justin Aaron - Stand Up - 7

As usual, nails his belting. One bad sounding note on "lord" though, and during the softer parts he sounds a bit sharp, almost like he's preparing for the high notes and belting to come.

 

Brayden Lape - In Case You Didn't Know - 6.5

Honestly this isn't terrible. It's not like he's pitchy or butchers any notes. But he sounds the same throughout. There is no dynamics. No projection either.

 

Parijita Bastola - Unstoppable - 6.5

Bad song choice since it exposed her biggest weakness as a vocalist. Belting. She cant go that high to begin with, then her belts just thin out by the end. A few botched notes too. As usual she nailed the slower parts of the song though.

 

Kim Cruse - Summertime - 9

One of my only 9s of the season. In contention for the greatest jazz performance on this shows history. Absolute masterclass. So much nuanced vocal moments in this performance, the runs are incredibly smooth and well placed, the jazzy flairs are perfect. This will be on my replay for a while.

 

 

Omar Jose Cardona - My Heart Will Go On - 7

he gave the greatest vocal moment of the season, but there were also a lot of weak moments. Lack of projection with some of his belts and especially the softer notes that I could barely hear even with full volume and my phone against my ear.. some quick runs that werent smooth at all either.

 

Bodie - Without Me - 6

Simply put he sounded like he was struggling. Lacked projection, sounded strained, and the fast paced vocals took away the tone of his voice. Didn't highlight it at all.

 

Bryce Leatherwood - If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away - 7.5

Some slightly pitchy moments but his best live vocal yet. Some surprisingly solid belts and strong country twang moments.

 

Morgan Myles - Always Remember Us This Way - 8

The start sounded just ever so slightly off to me, not her smoothest soft vocal but when she picked it up in the chorus she sounded great from there on out. Her most emotionally powerful performance yet.

all of these were honestly good. totally overreacted on first listen.

 

bodie - 8.5, good except for one note

kim - 8.75, vocally impressive but not for me

brayden - 8, wait why did i like this

morgan - 9.75, icon legend moment MY WINNER

bryce - 8, it was a little sleepy but there were nice moments

parijita - 7.5, it wasn’t the best at the end but the beginning was nice 

justin - 8.5, vocally impressive but there were some issues

omar - 8.5, the beginning didn’t work for me but WOW… that ending note

Some issues, but overall great showings.

Justin Aaron - Stand Up - 8.5

Great but Cam's version is hard to top

 

Brayden Lape - In Case You Didn't Know - 5.0

Not the level i'm expecting from a semifinalist and unfortunately, now finalist, sorry

 

Parijita Bastola - Unstoppable - 6.0

Her worst performance, easily. Didn't go anywhere

 

Kim Cruse - Summertime - 10.0

Perfection, one of the best performances of the season

 

Omar Jose Cardona - My Heart Will Go On - 7.5

This left me empty, like, he has crazy range, but not even his high notes satisfied me, the song was way still to big for him and not a good fit for his tone. He should stick to classic rock, he kills it on that genre

 

Bodie - Without Me - 7.0

i appreciate his artistry but vocally, this wasn't it

 

Bryce Leatherwood - If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away - 8.0

Don't judge me, please. He did what he had to do, and gave an enjoyable, heartfelt performance. I just can't hold him to the same standard as powerhouses

 

Morgan Myles - Always Remember Us This Way - 10.0

There is nothing need to be said here. The performance speak for itself.

One of her best live performances. Beautiful and emotional moment

 

Kim Cruse - All By Myself - 10.0 

Even under pressure, she gives perfect performances. That's how i'm expecting a Celine Dion's song to be done (Sorry, Omar)

 

Justin Aaron - Made a Way - 7.5 

Solid performance, but one his weakest

 

Omar Jose Cardona - You and I - 8.0 

I liked Joshua Vacanti's versión better. Still, good job, but in my opinion, being in the pimp spot helped him a lot to win the IS. Even though Kim deserved to take this one.

Honestly I think this is her best live vocal
