Great to see. Of course, there’s usually a bit of luck involved on TikTok, but the more effort they put in, the more likely they are to strike gold. Most Voice contestants are either terrible at TikTok, or just give up too easily. The skills needed to succeed on the show are not the same as those needed to successfully navigate the music industry.

Not a winner (sigh) but Lauren Duski has used Tiktok pretty well and has 342,200 followers. She also has a few videos with over a million views

Four examples of contestants gaining TikTok followers:

 

@TeamAudra posted that Todd Tilghman (s18 winner, Team Blake) had 2006 followers on 07/10/21, 5768 on 07/11/21, 10.7K on 07/14/21, and 19.5K on 09/04/21. He currently has 49K followers and 255.3K likes.

 

@Teraginn posted that Kameron Marlowe (s15, Teams Blake/Adam) had 68K followers on 07/11/21 and 180K+ on 12/04/21. He currently has 501.9K followers and 3.7M likes.

 

Emily Ann Roberts (s9 runner-up, Team Blake) is another non-winner whose account has done well. On 07/11/21, @rp3598 posted that Emily Ann had 123.5K followers. She currently has 449.6K followers and 4.9M likes.

 

Brayden Lape (s22 fifth place, Team Blake) had 3 followers and 0 likes on 09/14/22. On 12/14/22, he had 74.2K followers and 679K likes. He currently has 84K followers and 847K likes.

I wonder how long it is (if ever) before a Voice alum gets a genuine pop radio hit. TikTok helped Jax and Lauren from AI, and as far as I know that success had nothing to do with them being on the show, except maybe in an indirect way (more exposure).

 

I actually thought Alexa would do it last year and that song definitely did decent numbers, but just never got widely known. I don’t know why Foushée didn’t get it either, Deep End is a bop and she was barely even shown for her to have any reality contestant stigma.

 

Edit: I know she co-wrote(?) Bad Habit. Still waiting for her name to be known though.

tbh very excited for Alexa because she was one of my favorites of s14 but i felt like she was underrated in favor of brynn (who i also love!). glad to hear that both Brynn and Alexa are using tiktok to break into the music industry more

I loved Alexa's BA, I thought it was one of the best that season and better than Brynn tbh. Sadly her later performances weren't as good imo, but I still liked her song choices.

Craig Wayne Boyd's personal account is apparently https://www.tiktok.com/@cwbyall, but only four videos are posted on it. He has 423 followers and 2266 likes.

 

Texas Hill has an account (https://www.tiktok.com/@texashillofficial) that currently has 8499 followers and 31.4K likes. The trio needs to provide content more often, because the most recent post is dated 08/01/22. Here are three of their videos.

Honestly, I don't blame you. I keep up with certain contestants by viewing their TikTok accounts on my computer, but I don't have an account or the app myself. If you don't want to make updates, I can.

In case anyone is wondering why I would delete my TiKTok app, several states, and even the US Congress have banned it for their employees, due to security concerns. Soon to go into effect is a ban on all federally managed devices. 
 

“A broader measure aimed at banning the app on all federally managed devices was included in the $1.66 trillion federal omnibus spending bill passed last week, which takes effect once President Joe Biden signs the legislation into law.”

Yeah. The TikTok app is owned by ByteDance, which is headquartered in Beijing. FBI Director Chris Wray said the Chinese government could use the video-sharing app as a spying tool or to control devices. That's why I don't have the app or an account, but TikTok isn't the only app in use that's connected to a Chinese company. I guess we'll see what happens.

I plan to track TikTok account growth for season 23 and wanted to get early data, so I'm listing the Top 28 contestants in the spoilers thread on page 153 as a starting point. Once lives begin and names aren't considered spoilers, I'll track/update here instead.

I just finished updating the winners and non-winners. The two lists are comprised solely of contestants from The Voice USA, so I did not add anyone mentioned in this thread who competed in other versions of the series. If an account for Josh, Chris, or Chloe is found, please post the exact account name and I'll update the list of winners. Thanks!

No info on Chloe for TikTok but she has deleted her old Twitter (@chloemk)(taken over by someone with no tweets, two followers and a link to an xxx site). She has a newer account @sweet93sweet93 with a few tweets and a post about a tour with a synth pop performer named Tei Shi (@teishi) - Chloe's identified only as Sweet93 on the poster. Instagram is also Sweet93Sweet93, and Tumbler is Sweet93. There's a Sweet93 TikTok but I can't see any content there.

 

You might think Chloe, or Sweet93, doesn't want to be associated with The Voice.
