DeSantis has plenty of gay supporters, who don’t buy into all of that bullshit. Democrats have nothing else to run on. Good luck.

He may be but look at what Clearance Thomas has said he wants to look at the same sex marriage ruling that is what those in lgtq+ are worried about.

Not to be rude, but WTF does that have to do with speculation about a DeSantis/Youngkin ticket?

“….The check Bigelow cut to the Friends of Ron DeSantis committee and published on its website Thursday evening is so big that it exceeds the total combined contributions received this year, as of July 1, by both of the Democrats seeking to challenge DeSantis in the fall….”

We’ve never seen anyone raise money like this for a state election in any state.

just saying after Roe others are worried their rights like same sex marrrige would be taken away if more republicans take over cause they would have the majority if a SCOUtS member needed to be replaced, thats what the other poster is worried about.

😲 Ten million is a huge contribution!

I glanced at the first few replies to the tweet. Two among them say:

Seems about right; only someone like that would support someone like DeSantis

Imagine a world in which Gov. DeSantis, Marco Rubio and Matt Gaetz each LOSE their elections in 2022. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!

While not everyone likes DeSantis, it looks like he'll easily win in November.

According to the article, "at least 42 billionaires" are backing DeSantis, and he's meeting with top donors. So the downside is any strings attached to their large checks...

Sort of. SCotUS already has a 6-3 conservative majority, but a Republican office could further tilt the Court if a left-leaning justice were to die or vacate their position.

Beyond that, having a right-leaning executive branch would more or less lead us into dystopia since Republicans have hit the gas on some really terrible legislation and aren't really seeing consequences for doing so.

Good article. It’s not often I say that about a MSM source.

$50 million of the $140 million he has raised for this cycle is from out of state donors, both large and small. I recall the article about the 42 billionaires supporting him. At the time, it was something like 10-15% of his total fundraising. They are nice to have, but he doesn’t really need them. I’ve read multiple reports that he doesn’t really like fundraising, and doesn’t put a ton of effort into it. LOL

Cases are rising in Florida, too. All but seven of the state's 67 counties are in the high category for COVID-19 community levels. The BA.5 'ninja' variant is dominant.

ND and KY govt  should be ashamed of themselves. Such low population density but their caseload is higher than New England. Outright covid denial and freedom only is not the way to go.
