Ooof now that you point all of this out, the Top 5 for Season 17 was REALLY rough for me. All of my favorites were gone by that point, so at that point I had to root for Madison by default. But yeah all of my favorites left before the Top 5 that year and it was rough to watch. Pretty much all of this, sadly. Nowadays my favorites (or most of them) have to make it through the judges wildcards as they aren't popular enough via the public vote. So I am glad to get an extra set of performances from those wildcards. If he does, he knows what he's doing and playing the Idol game to win, which I can't get mad at.

Didn't we all predict that would happen tonight? Oh well, this was the longest run the girls have had over the guys in quite awhile, at least. I don't even remember who was all in the Top 5 of The Voice Season 16 except for Maelyn.

Yeah I agree with this. Abi was great and closed the show well, but it wasn't a ~moment~ like some of her other performances were (or potentially were).

Sad to lose McKenna, but the writing has been in the wall for a few weeks now. It was all to be expected tonight, sadly. Glad she went out on a high. Julia going was a mini shocker. But then that first performance..... a non country female singer can not survive a performance like that. She made up for it with her Adele song but it wasn't enough. And sadly she just didn't inspire me to vote for her soo I am not too upset. Guess I am rooting for Abi and Jack, at this point.

UGHH Same. All of my favorites are literally going.

OMGG Emmy survives and makes it through yet again! Lmaoo dangg, the power this girl got.
