Neil vs The Mic- Refers to the Season 23 Battle Rounds, where Alex Whalen had to leave the competition and his battle partner Neil Salsich performed by himself. His performance received a lot of praise both on IDF and by the coaches.

her performance was very impressive, but they gave a shorter clip, so it was probably harder to garner hype. plus it seems people preferred other teen contestants that season (Sarah, Brynn) who occupy similar-ish lanes.

Bro-country (defined by Google): a style of country music influenced by hip-hop, rock, and R & B, and featuring male vocalists singing lyrics celebrating themes such as drinking, women, and pickup trucks.

boring: a derogatory adjective usually directed at many country singers

sometimes interchangeable with "one-note"

And it's even applicable for most Team Blake members. Many people shift the blame on them even if they delivered a better performance. (See Grace West)
