This is very high when compared to 16 last season, 18 during season 17, and 19 during season 16. I wonder what they are going to do with the extra Mondays they're adding during the finals. Im going to assume that Monday shows will be result shows and there will maybe be like a "Instant Save" feature they are implementing because of this. This also confirms there are 8 weeks of live shows. My format guess is now 24 (12/12) - 16 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6- 3 Edit: Could also be 24(12/12) - 16 - 12 - 10 - 7 - 5 - 3 if they dont want to do a triple at the semifinals. The BBMAs are scheduled for May 23 on NBC, directly competing with the finale. Also, the Grammys are on March 14 on CBS and the Golden Globes are on Feb 28 on NBC.
