  1. Yes Season 18’s Top 40 show was stellar as well as top 20 virtually but then it simmered down and just was too fast due to the pandemic. Sad. Sigh
  2. I’ll admit I started watching in Season 10 but have went back some. Of the more modern seasons (Post-Simon)... Season 11 was my favorite. I liked Phillip and Jessica quite a bit (wish Jessica would’ve won). My favorite was probably Elise Testone (Whole Lotta Love, one of my favorites to date), Joshua was a solid vocalist although not a fan, Hollie & Colton both turned in a lot of consistent and solid performances. Even the bottom contestants weren’t bad like robbed Erika, Skylar was decent for country, Heejun was a guilty pleasure. Jeremy and Shannon could still sing. Jermaine was alright. Wasn’t a fan of DeAndre due to his overusing of falsetto. Also even though at the time I wasn’t huge on Season’s 10 Scotty and Lauren. Haley is my favorite idol competitor of all time. James was also a great rocker. Pia was also very good. Season 11 was simply better due to it being deeper
  3. I have some instagram names of people who have done online auditions... typically those people don't make it far though. I do usually find a few way early like Ren Patrick last season
  4. Cross my fingers for Julia because on paper she’s in danger. It’s probably between Julia, Louis, and Jonny
  5. I think Louis is for sure going home and probably Julia but I also think Jonny is in danger... he gave a twist to a classic with new words which is a no no and I feel like a lot of people feel neutral about him... they don’t rave about him like Julia fans do, me being one. I’m hoping Julia makes it over either Jonny or Sam... because the other 3 are locks.
  6. False I didn’t say she started to shine when 2 songs came along. Even if it makes you happy was one of her weaker performances it was still solid. I said that if you can pull off 2 solid performances... it helps you. CONSISTENT is what I said. Not that she became more noticed. I’m saying if anyone pulls off 2 above average performances tonight they’ll have a better chance of advancing. For instance if Julia is flawless on both I see her advancing.
  7. The only thing we really know at this point is I see Francisco, Arthur as locks for the finale. Just Sam is very likely as well. Those last 2 spots could really depend on who chooses the right songs tonight and appeals to the crowd. 2 songs is when Maddie really stood out as she was consistent and killed both performances. I think 2 performances hurts people like Dillon and Louis who are not consistent.
  8. This could be interesting. Depending on the lineup. This could help Julia and Sam place higher. Don’t see them winning but vote splitting is a thing. Francisco needs to hope that Louis doesn’t make it so the heartthrob voters are totally behind him.
  9. This is technically only regarding the top 7 so felt like this had to be here: Mothers Day: Julia Gargano: Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne or No One by Alicia Keys Jonny West: Mama Said (slowed down) by Lukas Graham or Where You Lead I Will Follow by Carole King Just Sam: Only One by Kanye West ft Paul McCartney or How Can I Help You To Say Goodbye by Patty Lovelace Francisco Martin: Sweetest Devotion by Adele or Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan (Adele version) Dillon James: God Only Knows by The Beach Boys or She’s Always a Woman by Billy Joel Louis Knight: Turn To You by Justin Bieber or Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder Arthur Gunn: Nobody Loves Me But My Mother by B.B. King or Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles Disney Julia: All I Want by Olivia Rodrigo (HSMTS), Carried Me With You by Brandi Carlisle (Onward) Jonny: Go The Distance (Hercules), When She Loved Me (Toy Story 2) Sam: Speechless by Naomi Scott, Spirit by Beyoncé (The Lion King) Dillon: All Is Found by Kacey Musgraves (Frozen II), Find Yourself by Brad Paisley (Cars) Arthur: Friend Like Me, Dig A Little Deeper (Princess Frog) Louis: So Close (Enchanted) or When You Wish Upon A Star (Pinocchio) Francisco: This Is Me by Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas (Camp Rock), Love Is An Open Door (Frozen)
  10. I’m composing a list. All I ask is that someone sings All I Want by Olivia Rodrigo. Hoping that a Disney + series counts as Disney
  11. Post your top 7 song suggestions below
  12. Exactly. I see a lot of the teen diva voters who were already voting for Sam will continue to vote for Sam and if they weren’t Sam’s voters, they are just as likely to vote for her as Makayla
  13. I would put this in the song thread but it’s technically spoilers because I only did the top 11: Home song predictions: Francisco Martin: Home by One Direction or San Francisco by Niall Horan Jovin Webb: Home by Marc Broussard or The House of the rising sun by The Animals Grace Leer: Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood or The House That Built Me by Miranda Lambert Arthur Gunn: Who Says I Cant Go Home by Bon Jovi or Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men Jonny West- Hold On, We’re Going Home by Drake, or Come Home by One Republic Julia Gargano- Hometown Glory by Adele or Home by Michael Buble Makayla Phillips- Coming Home by Skylar Grey or Almost Home by Mariah Carey Dillon James- Home by Dierks Bentley or Turning Home by David Naill Just Sam- Empire State of Mind PT 2 or New York State of Mind by Billy Joel Sophia James- Home by Morgxn ft Walk The Moon OT or Landslide by Fleetwood Mac Louis Knight- Quite Miss Home by James Arthur or Lego House by Ed Sheeran
  14. Out of this list... here’s my top 12 Girls 1. Geena Fontanella 2. Grace Leer 3. Julia Gargano 4. Lauren Spencer 5. Just Sam 6. Sophia Wackerman 7. Shannon Gibbons Guys 8. Dillon James 9. Arthur Gunn 10. Francisco Martin 11. Jonny West 12. Louis Knight
  15. This is the top 10 + 1. People are just guessing who that extra wildcard spot went to.
  16. I think the 11th spot was a girl. It makes sense. The top 10 was 6 guys so to even it out they decided to put a girl in. I think the judges saved either Makayla Phillips or Julia. I’m thinking it was Makayla... that song choice was horrendous and it had no feeling. It could be Grace but she already got saved by America. I don’t see the judges saving someone as creative as Sophia and Just Sam was a shoo-in.
  17. This top 11 is really solid. I personally would’ve liked to see Lauren Spencer on here over Jovin Webb and Makayla Phillips but I guess in past weeks I did like Makayla... Greedy was such a bad song choice
  18. Quick question... whose going to be the Wade Cota of the season whee no one can figure out how he made Top 14 yet he makes it to Top 6? With a shorter season this would be the equivalent of one shocking person making the top 10.
  19. And it proves that TPTB is pulling for a Nick win
  20. The talent isn’t bad this season. The editing is. Too much story time and talking time and not enough singing.
  21. If this is the top 17... it’ll be crazy. Each team has a few contenders and it’ll be very unpredictable. I personally think Johns team will be the weakest as Mandi’s overhyped. heres my contenders to win if your top 17 is right. Legend Zan Blake Joanna Todd Kelly Megan Nick Thunderstorm Allegra
  22. This includes songs so... Here’s my top 20 rankings (predictions not based on my own thoughts but how I think America will vote based on so far) and song suggestions 1. Arthur Gunn Volcano by Damien Rice, Luckiest Man by The Wood Brothers, or I and Love and You by The Avett Brothers 3. Grace Leer/ Lauren Mascitti (either way I believe one will go far. I will go as far to say I think both would be top 10 if both made it) Songs for Grace Leer: Angel From Montgomery by John Prine, Once by Maren Morris, or Bring On The Rain by Jo Dee Messina & Tim McGraw Songs for Lauren M: Stand By Your Man by Tammy Wynette, I Fall To Pieces by Patsy Cline, or Bible And a .44 by Ashley Mcbryde 4.
