Carrie doesn’t have too many songs in her discography that’s just simply about being happy in love. But of those types of love songs, this track still remains my favorite of them all. It has very sweet lyrics and beautiful vocals from Carrie. I love the swell of the chorus and the way her voice soars too. Her heartfelt delivery makes this a standout track on the album. Carrie recently sang this song at her virtual fan club party last month, and it was so cool hearing her perform it again. It’s a very emotional song, and the similes in the lyrics effectively paint a feeling of melancholy. The magic is in Carrie’s voice though. She starts subtly, but the power in her voice builds as the song progresses. By the end she’s belting with such power, and it’s a vocal masterclass. It’s not only a great showcase of her vocal skills, but she delivers the heartbreaking emotion of the lyrics so well. It’s a standout track and worthy to advance in this game. The lyrics detail two people going through a rough patch in their relationship. Despite any hardships, true feelings still remain and it would be a mistake to give up and walk away. It's a well-written song, and I'm sure many people can find this situation relatable. I really like the piano arrangement in the verses and how the instrumentation picks up in the chorus. Carrie's delivery is excellent. I especially love how her voice soars in the chorus. I'm unsure if anyone else here will advance it, so I'll make it one of my last two picks.
