Because he had that speech planned from the moment he walked into the game, and he was unable to adapt. He's also does not come across as humble, and was quick to dismiss the other players' success (re: mentioning of some of the competition). He underestimated Bayleigh, and the moment he said he wanted to take the most beatable person with him was another nail in the coffin for him. Also, he may have been manipulated every one but he could have done it without always talking about loyalty because that's what did it for him in the end ; I think if he had played the game without giving the feeling that loyalty meant everything to him, he probably could have done better. But again, he still haven't figured out that the people you manipulated and turn against are the one that vote against you so you still need to soften them up a bit ; Had he done Spicy Vee blindside differently, I think she wouldn't have been as harsh as she was on him.
