Gene being insanely overrated already lol. And Maddi being underrated surprisingly.

Gene is the strongest contestant of the season so far, but I liked Gabriel the best, with Maddi second.

Sang circles around everyone despite having a kind of terrible song choice: Gene Taylor (A-)

Great job but points off for having the vibes of someone who'd unironically say "brochacho": Gabriel Goes (B+)

Needed a Xanax after he finished singing: Nathan Chester (B+)

Probably would be an Idolforums darling if she was a decade younger : Karen Waldrup (B)

Guy who likes hats I think?: Donny Van Slee (B-)

Go white girl give us nothing!: Maddi Jane (C+)

1. Gabriel - not like top tier but was my favorite of these, A+ for song choice
2. Gene - strong overall, didn’t like this quite as much as others though? Vocals sounded strained near the top, need a different song to judge

3. Maddi - mixed bag, but liked her vocals

4. Donny - he did fine, just a forgettable audition

5. Karen - was hoping this would be a different Bye Bye iykwim…

6. Nathan - messy and lacked cohesion imo
