Kique vs Tanner - Don´t You (Forget About Me) - 6.75 (the song worked much better for Tanner and this was kind of messy, but both had at least a couple of okay moments)

Kevin vs Hillary - Preach - 7.25 (some good moments from both and a solid ending, but this didn’t really suit either of them) 

Devix vs Sasha - Electric Feel - 8.25 (Devix’s opening made me feel some type of way + he’s got tone for days, and Sasha was solid throughout too)

Kim vs David - Heartbreak Anniversary - 9 (major props to David for stepping the f*** up and delivering in the battle & those harmonies were excellent, Kim’s just a frickin’ vocal beast and that’s hard to beat)

Kate vs Madison - Every Rose Has it´s Thorn - 8 (the most even of the night for me, not really any notable rough patches)

Alyssa vs Ian - happier than ever - 9 (a little shouts at times upon a relisten & I hated the Kidz-Boppification of the lyrics, but Ian’s dynamics were great and Alyssa was right in the pocket the whole time)

Some fast thoughts: 

 

- David and Jillian went from being the bottom 2 on auditions, to being in the Top 6 on battles, congratulations!   

-Alissa and Ian's placement also improved significantly, same with Rowan (I don't know who else improved significantly, feel free too share if you notice it)

- On contrast, Grace went from Top 10 on Auditions, to Bottom 3 on battles. Bryce's rating also notably dropped in contrast to his audition.

- It's getting clear that the "IDF darlings" from this season are Bodie and Morgan M., both stayed in second and third, respectively, in both rounds. (LOL at both of them staying in the exact same placements)

- Parijita dropped from 1st place in auditions, to being out of the Top 10. Your opponent definitely has an effect in how is your battle received. If a battle is one-sided, it shows in the ratings. (I personally thought The Marilynds were great on that battle, tho) 

 

These are some things that i noticed. Feel free to share any of your thoughts as well

- Not surprised at the top two. Thought Kim/David was gonna be 4th though, given the praise. Glad to see Devix/Sasha that high though.

 

- Congrats indeed to Jillian and David for their placement advances. They left on a high note.

 

- Parijita and Bryce's battles were good, but a bit uneven in terms of opponents. I liked them because of the quality of the vocals, but I don't think the "trios" worked that well as a whole.

 

- I'll mantain that I enjoyed the Austin/Tanner battle, but I know the style is not IDF's cup of tea, nor are their tones, so I expected it to be that low.

 

- Gwen has 4 battles in the Top 10, including the number 1 spot, Camila has 3, John has 2, and Blake has 1.

 

- John is the only coach without a battle on the Top 5, but his lowest rated battle is Emma/Nia, which still cracked the number 13 spot, making it the highest of the lows. 

 

- Blake has the number 2 battle, after that, his scores drop massively. All his other battles are between the 14-22 spots, including the bottom two.

 

- There seems to be a clear line between 3 Camila battles (Morgan/Steven, Devix/Sasha, and Eric/Sydney), and the other 3 (Andrew/Zach, Orlando/Ava, and Reina/Grace). I personally agree.

Happy that rowan vs jillian, alyssa vs ian, kim vs david, and sasha vs devix got the right love!

 

Also expected positions with Morgan and Bodie ha (well deserved)

 

Also people really liked justin vs destiny, happy for her to get her shine despite being montaged

Averages for battles:

 

Gwen - 8.27

John - 8.25

Camila - 7.79

Blake - 7.19

 

Keep in mind that Camila and Blake has 6 battles shown in full, whereas Gwen and John had 5.

 

So if we remove the bottom battle from Camila and Blake, it would end like this;

 

Gwen - 8.27

John - 8.25

Camila - 7.99

Blake - 7.42

 

As a whole, IDF thought Team Gwen was the strongest in battles, with Team Legend an extremely close second. Team Camila was more mixed, and Team Blake was the weakest.

 

Gwen would have won by a lot more though, but the Kique/Tanner battle brought it down (I personally enjoyed it, but it seems IDF didnt).

Ok, so, the show decided to disrespect the contestants by only uploading the winning/steal performances. This is very frustrating, to say the least. I can't believe they went this far. What is the point to having 56 contestants in one season if you are not gonna show them properly and give them the exposure they deserve? 

 

So, i was thinking, we should only rate the winning/steal performances? What is the point of rating the losing performances if we can't even re-watch them properly? Of course, there is the chance that someone uploads them but it probably will take a while before they are uploaded. So, what you think?? I need to hear your thoughts about this, please

I agree. It feels kinda disrespectful for all of those who worked hard to get to this point. Not to mention how they have been editing this season has been so messy. The random geolocking, prolonging showing no chair turners, etc. 

 

Anyways Im fine with doing just the winners if that helps makes things a bit easier

Personally I'm happy with just rating the winners/steals since their videos will be the only ones readily available to everyone. Means less work for you, as well.

Pretty sure we're gonna have a montaged/shortclipped KO or two though.... hopefully the edit they're gonna post on YT would be long enough to judge from.

It sucks to see the disrespect to the contestants, but what else is new with TPTB?
