Great performances tonight, really. 1.Taylor Piggott (9/10) - What is this? A take on Coldplay that was actually refreshing and good? Sorcery, I tell you. Can't wait to see him and I'm sure his coach will take good care of h- aaaaaand he picked Keith DAMMIT. This team's elimination round is gonna HURT. 2. Cassidy Mackie (9/10) - Wooooooow. I didn't expect to love this one as much as I did. 3. Elizabeth Hylton (8/10) - I respect opera on this show a whole ton but I do 100% agree with Rita and Guy that she needed just an extra kick for it to be truly spectacular. 4. British Man Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Ok so I've been following along with last season and it's very disappointing that The Voice Australia manages to get the best contestants and then not showcase them at all. After the blinds, the cuts happened, but none of them were posted to YouTube, but even if they were, many singers got a whopping two lines and then were told to screw off. Then we had the knockouts, where we went from 20 to 8. Quite a big cut, and even better, they didn't post these to YouTube either (except Mick). You had to find a studio version in order to listen (or look at The Global Voice channel for people's journey) So, if you went onto the Youtube and watched the blind auditions and then looked for more performances, you'd find that 44 of the 51 contestants that got a chair turn don't have another performance on YouTube. (44 because they didn't post Lau's semi final performance either) The official Australia Voice channel posted only 1 video for 86% of the contestants. And now, this season, they just didn't post some contestants, including Celestial, who literally got the battle pass. Like, these people deserve much more with how much talent they have. They're dedicating an entire episode to it which must mean something. Rather than tacking it onto an audition episode. Also the name "callback" sounds less brutal than cuts.
