Completely and utterly depressing, but I do appreciate a good little acting showcase and Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart, and Dianne Wiest acted their hearts out in this movie.

Steven

Quote

This movie seems too depressing. I can't say it's one I want to seek out and watch.

Only one in this top 15 I hadn't seen. I wanted to watch it, but I just never had time.

I'm not familiar with this film. The art film style doesn't seem appealing to me, so it ranks last for me.

So unbelievably tense, this is one of those movies were it comes down to whether or not they nail the ending. Luckily they absolutely stuck the landing, I was beyond #shook.

Steven

Quote

This is a suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Leonardo DiCaprio is especially great in this film.

Derek

It didn't blow my mind

This movie's so offensive but like...iconically. A trainwreck you can't look away from. I love messy family dramas.

Steven

I haven't seen this film. It seems like a witty family comedy based on the trailer.

This is a clever movie done really well. It has such a cool style to it and it's thrilling to watch. I think it was deserving of all the praise it received.

Derek

Quote

What can I say. I'm basic.

Alex

Pretentious crap, two hours of my life I'll never get back. I would've petty cut it if I didn't feel bad shutting Steven down who was trying to advance it when I was partnered with him lol.

Tangled is underrated among the more recent Disney releases. It's a very enjoyable film that has the same Disney spirit as the films that came before it.

Derek

Quote

Underrated. If this was 2d and came out in 1997 people would be losing their minds over it

Alex

Quote

Mother Gothel's an icon. The movie's okay. I thought it would have bigger chances at winning so I tanked it a bit oops.

Definitely the biggest surprise of the original rankdown was this movie's spot in the top 20. This movie was definitely a wild ride, but not one I'm sure if I enjoyed the entire time. I think my expectations were a bit too high due to its spot in the top 20 of that game. But it was still good!

Steven

Quote

This was a harrowing film with a jaw dropping plot twist. I think it was a good movie, but it was tough to watch and it's not one I want to watch again.

I watched this film once and thought it was very good with a feel-good ending. Kudos to Colin Firth on deservedly winning the Oscar for his role in this film.

Alex

Snooze. This beating The Social Network for the Oscar is my villain origin story.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I prefer Part 1 over Part 2. They stayed truer to the book in Part 1, which I appreciated.

Derek

Quote

This might be my favorite one. Maybe second place. Emma started as the worst kid actor and by this point had eclipsed the rest. But some really simple edits to the script could have made this a masterpiece. Simplify. Focus. Come on. JKR does not always know best (understatement lol)

Alex

Quote

I'm also with Steven & Derek preferring this to part two. I tanked it a bit out of fear of it winning after Part 2 performed so well here. It's a great movie, but not winner movie. However, the Harry & Hermione dance scene is the greatest non-novel adaptation choice the films have ever made and it turned me into a Harry & Hermione shipper sorry not sorry :kissbye:

This is a really good and interesting movie with a great script and great performances. This movie is also partly why I'm no longer on Facebook anymore lol.

I really enjoyed this movie. It has superb animation and a great fantasy coming-of-age story. I think it's one of DreamWorks Animation's best films.

This should've been the final film in the Toy Story franchise. It's a flawless film and a perfect end to the toys' story with Andy.

Alex

Quote

I figured this was gonna be the runaway winner so color me surprised it's not even top two. I lowered it a bit just to help out other movies I thought needed it more. What's to say about this movie that hasn't been said already? It's perfection.

Derek

Quote

I strongly believe that a bad sequel has no effect on the quality of any movies that came before it in a series. Toy Story 4 tried it though

Emma Stone is fantastic here. Easy A is hilarious and has easy rewatch value. It's such a fun movie.

Alex

Quote

If you make a teen comedy well there's truly nothing like it. Well that's not true at all, but I still LOVE an amazing teen comedy. This is at the top of the genre. Emma Stone is perfection and this was a great leading role for her to really kickstart her career (I love Superbad but I mean that was a generic ass character lol). Also Amanda Bynes makes me sad, she is legit amazing in this movie and had so much potential :broken:

A top four finish in the OG game and winning the 2010 one. I'm glad IDF is rightfully showing this movie the love it deserves. Just one of my favorite movies of all-time. I've watched it countless times and it never gets old.

Steven

Quote

Natalie Portman is superb in this film and deserved her Oscar win. The movie itself isn't a favorite of mine, but Natalie's performance is enough reason to watch it.
