It's cute, it's silly. CPS needs to be called and heteronormative as f*ck (there is no world where the gay butler and the lesbian maid should end up together :kissbye:) but it's harmless. It's not a top three movie of the year. It's important for me that we all known this. If y'all have some nostalgic connection to it that's fine, but we need to be on the same page here!

My favorite war movie ever. Easily. The perfect mix of thrilling action scenes and real, well-developed characters so I actually care about them. Each character is so unique and feels so real that I care about each and every one of them as I watch them die. This is forever Spielberg's masterpiece for me.

Ugh I almost tanked this too, but there were so few movies this year I really liked that I'd rather see something I like win no matter how predictable it is over something I didn't like. Knowing what I know now, I absolutely would have tanked it. But it is what it is. Iconic music, a strong plot, and strong humor elevates this Disney movie to one of the best. It's not one of my top favorite Disney movies, but it's certainly up there.

I'm so shook about The Parent Trap making it to 3rd but really happy about it. :giggle:  I loved that movie and watched it multiple times throughout my love so I have a strong connection to it.

But yeah I knew it would be between Saving Private Ryan and Mulan. I feel both are important movies for sure. But very happy with Mulan pulling out the win. ❤️

Although lol at no one's #1 winning. :dead:

I was rooting for Saving Private Ryan, but I can't be mad with Mulan winning.

And it's not as bad as when Saving Private Ryan lost Best Picture to Shakespeare In Love:/

Same!

And at least Shakespeare in Love rightfully got cut here.

For the first round we can each advance 5-10 films. One film will go straight to round four, and the rest will go to the next round. You cannot advance less than 5, nor can you advance more than 10. You don't have to advance all your films at one time, but when you're done please let me know so I know to move on. You have 72 hours to make your saves. Good luck! Anyone who wants to play can play!
