The best advisor overall  was definitely Ryan Tedder in S5, just watch the battle sessions with Team Adam and you´ll see why. It´s no wonder why he´s one of the most coveted producers around.

As for the options listed, I´d say Usher honestly. The guy clearly knows his stuff, and pushed the contestants of Team Legend more that the actual coach and that´s why we got some great battles in S17 from his team. Honorable mentions to Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift, who did great as well.

 

OG : Btw, you forgot Tim and Faith in S11 KOs, and James Taylor in S18 KOs in the poll, they gave good advice as well.

Taylor nails the crossing between genres thing, can relate to the younger artists (having been there herself) + has decent career longevity so far, so she was the most recent solid pick that's on the poll. 

 

Celine and Mariah are vocally both ridiculous, so they're solid picks for technical help as well as being major influences on a number of artists that make the show. 

 

For non-listed artists in the poll, James Taylor + Faith Hill/Tim McGraw were probably my favorites for the seasons you're asking about, with Ryan Tedder and Cher being my favorite overall.
