The song that started it all. It holds a special place in my heart and is definitely part of pop history. However, the song is just weak in comparison to the rest of her catalog.

Her first single and put her on the map, but it's like the weakest from all of The Fame/Fame Monster combined.

"Just Dance" was the song that introduced the world to Lady Gaga. I wish I could recall the first time I heard this song, but I think it was when she performed this on an episode of SYTYCD in 2008? I'm sure I liked it on first listen there, but I ultimately tree to really love the song later that year (and into the next year) where it blew up and I heard it a lot more. This is such a fun, catchy and addicting song. Such a perfect first single for Gaga to begin her career. I love the verses and the chorus, which is super catchy!  Just dance, gonna be okay! Da da do do! :bobo: I also really like Colby O'Donis' verse...and it's crazy to believe he was the bigger star when this came out. Oh how the times have changed. :haha: This is classic Gaga at her finest, and I'll always have love for this song!

Born This Way is immensely meaningful to so many queer folk around the world for a reason. The song has not aged completely well, but there is such an epic declaration of equality here that is so hard to overlook. Are there better songs from the BTW album? Sure! But there are none as emotionally impactful and resonant as this one. I absolutely needed this song when it came out. So the low ranks really hurt my heart, but I am so glad that I can talk about my love for this song so many years later.

I’m not self-loathing I promise, I just hate the production on this track! It feels messy and overproduced. It’s too noisy for me

"Born This Way" is another one of the many wonderful empowering tracks from Lady Gaga, and it's such a great track. Gaga does a great job of embracing and portraying how important it is to be your true self, and she sells that well in the lyrics and how she sings the song. She really does provide such an important and powerful message here. I know this song drew some controversy with its similarities to "Express Yourself" and I do get that, but I have always loved this song for itself. And of course, Gaga brings that pop greatness. The chorus is out of this world catchy! :bobo: The music video sure is something out of the box and an intriguing watch, specifically the beginning of it. But Gaga always provides strong storytelling and great visuals with her music videos.

Megan is incorrect. Judas is a much better Bad Romance imo. The song explores the idea that one must embrace their darker side, explores the idea that one must revisit our troubled and haunted past. It talks about the difficulties of escaping what has hurt us in the past. It talks about rejecting traditional roles for women. All while having an awesome house beat, sickening Biblical references, and an iconic music video.

This is a fun song from Gaga, but it was one I was never really all that crazy about. I thin I just never really cared from the reference of her singing she's in love with Judas. But I do like the chorus and those "Jude-ah ah ah ah" parts are super catchy. The music video is a lot of fun too. Lol that "ew" part does crack me up. Overall, I do like it but just don't love it.

Easily my second favorite song from The Fame and The Fame Monster era. Controversial music video! Naked men. Rosaries. Bidding farewell to past lovers. ABBA and Ace of Base inspirations! Alejandro is THAT bitch imo.

I went back and forth on this and another song for #1. I feel Alejandro has an outside shot to rank in the top 5 here, it’s imo her catchiest single easily. Love the Ace of Base inspiration here!

"Alejandro" is another great and fun song from Lady Gaga. I do really enjoy the verses. The chorus is super fun and catchy. I love those "don't call my name, don't call my name, Alejandro" and how she repeats "Alejandro" at the end of the song too! The music video is a long one, which is unsurprising from Gaga. But it's an interesting video....that I don't get all of what's going on. :haha: It's interesting how the song slows down at the end, and how it seems never ending.mBut Gaga kills it here with this song and the dancing, as always. :bobo:

One of the best-selling singles of all-time for a reason. A pop classic about bisexuality!!! Though Just Dance put her on the map, I would say Poker Face is what helped her latch onto the pop world and take it by storm.

Yess, "Poker Face" is another one of the many iconic songs that I love from Lady Gaga. And a fun fact, this was my #1 song of my 2009 Top songs list, so that should prove how much I love this song. But yeah this song has everything that you can love in a song. It makes you happy, it's fun, danceable, catchy and its just a feel good song! As always, I love how fun and dancey this song is, which Gaga certainly excels at. The verses has a cool and interesting sound to it and it works. I love the pre-chorus and especially those "whoa, oh oh oh" parts. The chorus is undeniably catchy and addicting, I love it. Can't read my, can't read my, my poker face! :bobo: From the second verse, I love the Russian roulette line she sings there. But then there s a naughty line after it that I often miss but always cracks me up when I catch it. :dead: The bridge is a lot of fun and I love how she sings that who,e part especially the part where she "promises promises, I'm marvelous" line. I also love those "pa pa pa poker face" parts she repeats at the end of the song. There are just so many great parts of this song. It's simply another classic iconic song from Lady Gaga!

Playing catch up as I missed a lot.

- From the second set, sad to see LoveGame and Applause show up so soon. Not surprised regarding LG, but I thought Applause would rank higher.

Surprised Stupid Love managed to get #17 despite not having many high rankings. 😮 Pleased that Rain on Me ranked higher though.

It's interesting seeing such polarizing rankings for Speechless. Andy's & Chris' #1 and then Elliott's #25. :dead: A great song and pleased for it getting 12th.

Good on Marry the Night getting 11th.
