QueenCami Posted November 8, 2023 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Nini's consistently been a firecracker performer. So exciting vocally, even if there are some imperfections. It's interesting because Nini, Jacquie, Mara seem to be like that, while on the other hand, we have some contrastingly "pitch-perfect" type performers like Alexa, Kaylee. Notably all three of the former moved past the playoffs, but the latter two didn't. Not that that's a value judgment on their skill, I think they're all amazing, but I wonder what made the difference between those who moved on and those who didn't when there's so much talent. I just rewatched Nini on YT. Her performance was not as bad as I saw it on the stream. I still think it's her weakest performance though, but it was solid. Nini has a better shot than Mara at this moment IMO. Nini has a much better handle on her voice and dynamics than Mara. I will say that Mara has the better backstory, so it might depend on how they'll edit their packages. At least vocally imo Yeah, the song choice was not as good, but vocally there weren't any mistakes made and she made the most of it. I relistened to Nini's KO and still think a few runs sounded off.
