  • season1 changed the title to The Voice S20: Top 5 Finale Songs - Predictions, Guesses and Wish List
Not going to attempt the duets, but just for fun will toss out Disney songs instead:

Kenzie Wheeler
Ballad - When You Say Nothing at All (Keith Whitley version; most people know the Alison Krauss version)
Upbeat - Good Time (Alan Jackson)
Disney: You've Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story)

Victor Solomon
Ballad - Kiss from a Rose (Seal)
Upbeat - Twisting the Night Away (Sam Cooke)
Disney: Circle of Life (Lion King)

Rachel Mac
Ballad - Use Somebody (Kings of Leon) (did someone do this earlier this season? Or was Allegra Miles the most recent to sing this on the show?)
Upbeat - Dog Days Are Over (Florence and the Machine) (would love to see if she could pull this off)
Disney: Part of Your World (Little Mermaid)

Cam Anthony
Ballad - Writing on the Wall (Sam Smith) (hat tip to whoever suggested this on another thread)
Upbeat - Sexual Healing (Marvin Gaye)  Happy (Pharell Williams) (but seriously, he'd crush that first one)
Disney - Go the Distance (Hercules)

Jordan Matthew Young
Ballad - Time in a Bottle (Jim Croce)
Upbeat - Can't You See (Marshall Tucker Band)
Disney - no clue

Great songs. Disney songs for duets is not a bad idea. Especially when they don't sing it for votes anymore. (I think the duets are on Tuesday).

I thought someone already sang "Use Somebody" this season?  Or maybe I saw it on the "potential songs" thread.

For Jordan, I would pick "Under The Sea" as a fun Disney song to sing. 😄

As an aside, would love to see Jordan Matthew Young perform "Aqualung" (Jethro Tull). Unfortunately for me, the song's nearly 7-minute runtime doesn't exactly fit the format.

There are many great songs, especially rock songs, that don't translate well to being cut into 2 1/2 minutes of performance.

Speaking of "Aqualung", they just released a new video for it with cool animation.

You're right, quick Google search reminded me that Ryleigh sang "Use Somebody" in the Knockouts.

So for Rachel's ballad, guess I'll go with You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift? I'm sure there are better options if I thought about it some more.

I was actually thinking of "You Belong With Me" for Rachel's upbeat song. LOL.  I think Rachel would sound great singing "Safe and Sound".

Actually... this is off the beaten path, but I bet Rachel would do a good job with "City of Stars" from La La Land. Scratch my previous suggestion lol

"City of Stars" would also be a good duet for Nick and Rachel.  You can always edit your list ;)

Cam: Ain’t No Sunshine, Beyoncé’s Halo, Labrinth’s Jealous

Cam and Blake duet: Say Something by Justin Timberlake ft Chris Stapleton or Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw

Rachel Mac: Head Above Water Avril Lavigne or Wicked Game Chris Isaak or Hallelujah Jeff Buckley

Following in Danielle and Addison's footsteps! I'm curious to see how Rachel would approach on upbeat

I hope she'll do great with an upbeat (or kinda upbeat) song. Bandzilla would be a problem for some uptempo songs. But she can go acoustic with something mid-tempo like "Mean".

I worry that they'll give her the ultimate bus songro1ld96.gif

Hopefully not! I hope they let her end on a high note, they've treated her well this whole season ❤️

Interesting. I thought of him singing that, too, but I see it more as a ballad than an upbeat song.

How about Ten Years After - Rock and roll music to the world 😇

yeah - lot of songs from that era are "in between" - not necessarily one (ballad) or the other (upbeat), so that people like us can argue about it 🙂
