  1. Let's hope the weather doesn't spoil the event.... Also note from the article: The MLK Celebration Game vs. the Chicago Bulls will tip off at 2:30 p.m. CT in a side-by-side telecast, broadcasting regionally on Bally Sports Southeast and nationally on TNT.
  2. You'll get no argument from me. Unfortunately, too many bought the crap Obama was selling, and many still do, which is why he's still sticking his nose in everything. I think we can agree that the current horse manure they're trying to pull is more of the same. The only difference is not all Ds are buying it. Thank you, Manchin and Sinema (and any others who haven't been as vocal). P.S. I love how the Oath Keepers guy criticized Trump and Pence for not getting behind the "insurrection." There goes that talking point.
  3. I just got an email from the NYT: BREAKING NEWS The U.S. will buy 500 million more home tests for Americans, and President Biden said he’d announce a plan to provide high-quality masks. Thursday, January 13, 2022 12:02 PM EST In addition, the president said he is sending a total of 120 military medical personnel to six states where hospitals have been overrun by cases. I don't and will never subscribe to that rag, but if you do here's the link: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/13/us/politics/covid-tests-biden.html?campaign_id=60&emc=edit_na_20220113&instance_id=0&nl=breaking-news&ref=cta&regi_id=178462003&segment_id=79620&user_id=587bcd817fcf490cb8c9aadb0c08c291 Guess their conscience is finally getting to them, seeing as how this is all their fault....
  4. Once again, Trump puts his foot in his big fat mouth. This is what I hate about him. Why not just take a full-page ad in the NYT saying, "Ron DeSantis could whip my ass at the voting booth," cuz that's what he's scared of. Please don't run, Donald. Be content with a "kingmaker" role and live happily ever after at Mar-a-lago. Please.
  5. They didn't repeal Obamacare because they could never offer a reasonable alternative, and lots of regular people would've brought the dogs out if they had. This is totally different. It completely threatens their livelihoods.
  6. I'd be curious to see the number of death *due* to the vaccine.... And IIRC, heart problems is one of the "side effects" of the mRNA vaccines. (Just call me troublemaker....)
  7. Some of them are inhaling too many noxious gases....
  8. I've always been suspicious of last year's COVID death count, particularly with the low flu/pneumonia numbers that went with it. That said, I wonder how many anxiety-induced illnesses are occurring because of the lockdowns, etc.
  9. True, but Twitter is just a high school cafeteria food fight. No mind-changing there, either. Just a lot of people yelling at each other.
  10. Wait for the comment at the end....
  11. It's all been a waste of time: https://redstate.com/scotthounsell/2021/12/24/new-vaccine-study-suggests-mrna-vaccines-actually-increase-probability-of-being-infected-with-omicron-after-90-days-n496628
  12. OMG. And there's a second teaser, which I think must be an actual clip: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CXzkIF-hyff/
  13. By combining seasons, you've made it very difficult because I really like one and don't care about the other....
  14. Chloe is still "finding" herself. It was inevitable, considering that she almost immediately moved to NYC, dumped her bf, and began experimenting with life. She still hasn't settled on who she is, which is OK when you're not seeking fame and fortune, but hard for your fans to keep up with.
  15. Two great articles regarding the politics of Covid: https://www.aier.org/article/fauci-emails-and-some-alleged-science/ https://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2021/12/20/bombshell-thread-shares-damning-fauci-collins-emails-working-with-media-to-take-down-great-barrington-declaration-and-fringe-scientists-behind-it/
  16. Very well said. She had a wonderful run, introduced herself to a lot of people who didn't even know of her existence, and brought back some great sounds. I sincerely hope that doors open to her.
  17. Good for them. Because winning The Voice is so career-changing. Please stop insulting Wendy with your cruise ship comments. She's better than that, and you know it. Whatever her motivations are, good for her for getting out there and singing her heart out. The same goes for all of the contestants. Sometimes it seems that winning this show is more important to individuals on this board so that they have bragging rights (I picked the winner!) than it is to the actual contestants.
  18. I agree 1000%, though I was dancing in my seat with my laptop on my knee OTR on the other hand? That song always brings a tear to my eye, but Wendy's version brought many tears. I'll be buying it for sure and wallowing in the smooth melancholy and power she brings to it.
  19. Could've just been nerves. In all honesty, the oldest brother (Caleb) just seems less attached to the whole thing to me. That's just a personal opinion, so don't yell at me. Joshua, on the other hand, might also eventually pursue a separate career.
  20. I suspect the trio won't last forever. Bekah is likely to go out on her own eventually.
