Kelsea Ballerini & Halsey was such an unexpected but very cool collaboration. I definitely remember being surprised when I heard of them doing a song together. This song has a cool and intriguing sassy sound to it. The part that always sticks out to me in this song is where they sing: Is it me? Is it you? Tell me who, who’s the other girl?  and also love the part of: Who’s gonna put on the red dress? Scarlet letter on her chest.

 

I love those part, alongside the rest of the chorus. I love the sassy attitude they both have on this song. I also remember this was (I think?) Kelsea’s first single as a lead artist sent to Top 40 radio. It did alright but I was bummed this wasn’t a bigger hit for them there. But glad to have this in the Kelsea Top 25, at least. I also enjoyed the hot performance they had of this on the CMT Awards last year.

Lyrically the song is strong I think, and the collab is unusual, but the melody is kind of nothing so I get why people wouldn't like it

Yeah the song itself isn't anything special but then you add Halsey to the mix and it was a pretty easy decision to rank it number 25 for me.

Fine with most of these rankings. Lol @ all of my mentions in the write-ups.  I was surprised I did so well until "the other girl" showed up. I knew that would be the first song in my Top 10 to show up.... so not tooo surprised there. It's fine. I always really liked that one but would have pushed through a few other songs if they weren't cut beforehand to advancement part, lol.

The only song that gets both its Kelsea and Ballerini versions here! I like the Ballerini version better! Also caused me a lot of headaches making sure I had everybody's rankings correct. LOL. The picture is probably for the kelsea version but also. I don't want to post the same pictures EVERY TIME.

But it’s not and uses references of not wanting to go out to the clubs but hanging out with friends (in different ways). This is a really cute, fun song and I like the different twist she puts to it. Fine with this set of songs. I would have liked “club” to be higher (and “overshare” to an  extent) but not too upset or anything.
