Soft, subtle, beautiful. I kind of like all the Cycle 12 CoverGirl photos but Aminat’s is the best of the three. But again a boring white background and she’s wearing a very casual top… I think they needed to do more to make these look like real ads for judging.

Janice was ride-or-die for Kahlen on Cycle 4 and tbh same. When I first watched I thought that Kahlen would totally botch the CoverGirl photo, but instead she produced this and tbh it blew me away at the time. Tyra was honest and admitted she hated it but Janice liked it and I did too. A very memorable ANTM moment for me personally since Cycle 4 was my first cycle (maybe even first reality TV experience I think?).

Easily the best one from Cycle 8 lol and she went home for it anyway. What were they selling this cycle, was it for lips? Her lips look way too weird and shiny but maybe that was the product lol. But yeah there is just no saving the hair in this. She made it work in other photoshoots this cycle but with a beauty shot like this they couldn’t style it good enough to make it work. A tragic makeover that followed her until the bitter end.

I didn't really remember this photo well before my rewatch, but I'm actually obsessed with it. It's like the darker side of CoverGirl. She's got such power in her eyes and the angle of her face looking at the camera is super interesting. It's not a dark picture by any means, but it's not what you'd expect from CG, yet still works.

Okay, so every single ANTM photo is retouched in some way, that’s a given. Expected. Maybe I’m a total delusional hater but this photo is way over the top with the retouching. They totally changed her face! She is unrecognizable to me here. I do love that they preserved the freckles, and I would have also loved if she showed her signature gap as well but you can’t have that in literally every photo and I understand. But her face! Chelsey has stunning cheekbones and sunken cheeks with and stronger jaw and IMO that was a lot of what made her successful on this cycle, both in person and in photographs. And yes makeup and lighting can affect how those look but I feel like they totally smoothed her out and made her generic and erased the essence of Chelsey. Am I crazy??? Is the focal length really doing that much here? It looks like an A.I. image. CoverGirl by Midjourney. I didn’t want this to get too close to winning. A random reddit comment once said she didn't like the photo either, but I couldn't find anything to back that up.
