Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

This may be a dumb reason to cut a movie, but I am cutting this movie because the role of the female Terminator was supposed to go to WWE Wrestler Chyna who sadly passed away in April of 2016, but the CEO of the company, Vince McMahon, stopped that from happening because she was let go of the company and was persona non grata after being let go because her fiancé cheated on her with the Stephanie McMahon, who is as you guessed it the daughter of Vince McMahon. I know that's not really about the movie, but I just wanted to give you a little story time. :giggle:I've never seen the movie before out of loyalty to Chyna, but I do know it was released in 2003 and Chyna was released in 2001 so the timing adds up. It is the third installment in the Terminator  and a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. After those two does the plot really matter? :haha: The first two are the best in the franchise anyway. The movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator and received positive reviews. It didn't flop at the box office so congrats, but it leaves the rankdown now.

Space Cowboys, in question, is not the Kacey Musgraves's song of the same name - altough this one is plural - and the movie certainly did not inspired the song, in question, so I am more than fine with cutting this movie. I am sure many are surprise that I am saving Incredible Hulk - I would rather save a movie that I have seen than one that I never heard of until now.  Back to Space Cowboys, it is a movie that apparently stars Clint Eastwood - also serve as producer & director, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, Donald Sutherland - originally from my province ; the movie stars are actors that are seen as legends. However, this movie was far from their best work.  The movie revolves around aspiring astronaut & that's all you have to be aware of to come to conclusion if you want to watch it or not.  The critics and audience loved it but I would probably not be a fan.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

MV5BMjE1NDUyMDA4N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMTU2MjAzMw@@._V1_.jpg

To keep the game moving, I'm helping out @Elliott who let us know he was gonna be busy this week. The nonstop failures of attempts to make Fantastic Four movies has always been lowkey interesting to me. I mean all the elements are there to be a successful popcorn movie. It's got a fun concept, strong casting all around (outside Jessica Alba oop), and I'm pretty sure the comic books it's based on have always been popular. So why has it kept failing? I'm not sure I'm the one to answer that question, maybe someone more into comic book movies can. However, all I can think of is just how boring they are. Allegedly Silver Surfer is only a 90 minute movie, but I remember when I watched it years and years ago it felt like 3 hours. In this film, there is a mysterious surfer destroying planets and the 4 must work together to stop him. But they find out he's only a pawn in a grander scheme so they band together with him at some point idk. There's also a body switching plot I think, but frankly the iconic Scooby Doo movies did that much better :kissbye:. I actually think I remember preferring this one to the original, but it's not like either still need to be around at this point. Chris Evans has moved on to grander superhero movies and so shall we. Marvel owns the Fantastic Four now so I assume they're gonna attempt a third reboot of it and based on the history this franchise...I wish Marvel an ounce of luck.

It’ll be an MCU movie directed by the guy who did the Spider-Man MCU trilogy.

Saw IV (2007)

Saw4final.jpg

This is the 4th Saw movie. There are six Saw movies in this game. Nine in total so far through 2021. That's a lot. Saw 1 was an interesting fresh film and Saw 2 was actually a bit different than the first in its approach and was also interesting. But by this fourth installment in the series, Saw had become just a gore porn bleh series that mostly takes place in a torture warehouse in the dark with a green/yellow filter on every scene. A lot of death traps in this film, let's see if I can pick out the most iconic one... maybe the ice blocks that smash a guys head off? It seemed like this franchise lost its footing a bit after killing off the main female villain in Saw III... but idk, I'm not the best with Saw lore.

There doesn't need to be a reset, right? @Alex95 Just wanted to make sure before I post a write-up since 28 Days isn't a horror movie.

Yeah I’m just gonna assume it’s 28 Days Later for the simplicity of the game :dead:

SAW III (2006)

I haven't seen any of the Saw movies. I avoid most horror movies anyway though. It's just not a genre that appeals to me. I've heard of the Saw series, of course, but these films just seem like movies that come up with creative ways to torture their characters for shock value (at least for the sequels). Maybe the first film was more innovative? Anyway, I watched the trailer for Saw III, and it didn't tell me anything about the plot of the film. There were just shots of tortured people screaming in pain. Maybe it was just a teaser trailer, but let me see what Wikipedia says...So, Jigsaw is putting a father through a series of tests to try to help him overcome his anger over the drunk driver who killed his son. And one character is tasked with keeping another character alive for one final test. Anyway, this is a movie I won't ever seek out to watch. As for what the critics thought, Saw III has a 28% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. They say, "Saw III does little beyond repeating its predecessor's tropes on a gorier level."

The horror genre is not my favourite genre, and it's one that I do not necessarily care for - I certainly prefer more  thriller-like horror movies rather than jump-scare horror movies or horror movies with predictable plot.  But once in a while, I do watch them and House of Wax is certainly one of those that I've seen when it first came out in 2005, a time where I was very much into Chad Michael Murray & Jared Padalecki and a fan of everything Paris Hilton. Also featured in the movie were Elisha Cuthbert, Brian Van Holt, Jon Abrahams and Robert Ri'chard. This movie was inspired by a movie of the same name who was also inspired by a movie known as Mystery of the Wax Museum.   From what I recall from the movie, it is a group of friend who visits a wax museum & they get turn into wax figures like anyone who go to the house, and some of them get killed as expected in a horror movie. In other words, the movie is nothing special and the acting is certainly not the positive thing of the movie.
