As the first song with lyrics on The ArchAndroid, this does a lot of work on setting up the tone for the rest of the album. And it does well, I just again don't find it as one of my absolute favorites of this Top 25.

Janelle and Prince is such a dream collaboration. Two artists that have spent their entire careers being incredibly sexy and f*cking with gender norms. Love it. This collaboration does not disappoint.

Wallace - 9/25

Love the fierce, funky and angry sound of this song. Janelle brings great attitude here. Plus, having Prince as a featured artist makes this a great extra bonus. Really enjoy what Prince brings to this too.

Gahh this was a rough set for me here. :dead:

Ughh booo at so many #24s for "Dance of Die." That's a song that I wished ranked much higher than it did here. :(

Ooh ugh also wish "Ghetto Woman" and "Givin’ Em What They Love" ranked higher too.

When I first heard this I wasn't so sure, mostly because of the tempo and simplicity of the beginning. But I think this is like... the PERFECT prelude to the next track on this album, and I only listen to them together now. The way this builds to the end where she is wailing and the full cacophony is going, I just love it so much

Megan - 5/25

If there were every any questions about Janelle Monae's sexuality this entire album and this single put it all to rest. For obvious reasons, I feel a REAL KINSHIP to this song. 😛

Andy - 13/25

I have always been slightly disappointed with this song, I felt like they could have made it even bigger a la Venus Fly. It’s still very catchy though

Wallace - 13/25

"Pynk" has a really pretty, cute and delicate sound to it. It's fun, cutesy and once again kind of different from what I would expect from Janelle. But then the tempo kicks up and it gets quite powerful but still really fun. A fun song!

Okay real talk, the back-to-back-to-back-to-back on Dirty Computer of "Screwed," "Django Jane," "Pynk," and "Make Me Feel" may be one of the best chunks of an album of all time. Just 4 straight bangers all in a row. All four absolutely incredible and four of Janelle Monae's best songs (honestly, if it weren't for "Cold War" and "Q.U.E.E.N." they might have been her 4 best songs of all time). The rest of Dirty Computer could have been absolutely mediocre and it still would have been more than worth it for those four songs.

Andy - 11/25

I always loved this song and thought it was clever and ridiculously catchy. Love that Zoë is randomly on this

Unlike Taylor Swift, Janelle Monae knows to use her best songs as singles and this is my favorite track on The Electric Lady. I am hot and cold on Erykah Badu, but I can't deny that this collaboration really excited me and it delivered. Again, Janelle Monae (and her team) know exactly which artists perfectly match her vibes. Also, I think this is the first song where she raps! It works!

5. Aww dangg, I was SO close to having my Top 4 as the Top 4 here. :dead::lmao: Ah hahaha but really I am still good and very happy with "Dance Apocalyptic" making it through to the Top 5 at #5. Lovee this song and think it's pure fun, joy and happiness. :bobo: Glad this did so well! And yay no rankings lower than #17.

4. Ooh okay, "Electric Lady" was my lowest ranked song of this Top 5, which was my #6, so I'm good with this showing up now. I do love the funky and fun feel of this song and totally am not surprised it ranked so high. lol Derek being the big hater here. :giggle:

3. Love "Cold War" and very pleased to see it making it to #3. This was my #4 so not too far off. But such a great song that shows off her strong vocals. Baaddd Victoria at that #18 ranking. But other than that, yayy for all Top 10 ranks besides that.
