Wallace: I had you all shook by advancing "Body Like a Back Road."  No but really, I did always love "Body Like a Back Road" and always did consider this to be my favorite song of Sam Hunt's. This was a huge hit on the  country charts, but it was also a crossover hit on the pop charts and did moderately well there too. I know Sam's style is quite divisive but I do really like this talk-singing on the verses he has on songs like these. The chorus has such a cool, chill groove and feel to it, that I love. And dang it, if it isn't a catchy chorus! I just love the sound of it.  I also really love the second verse and pretty much that entire part is so fun! The bridge is also really fun - I especially love the part "I'm a take it sllooowwww, fast as I can."   I do feel like this song will be polarizing as are all Sam Hunt songs, but I am hoping this can be his highest ranking song here. I just feel I have to rank it at #1 as I do love this song from him but it was also probably the song I heard and am most familiar with of this group of songs. 

 

Steven: I think even Sam Hunt was surprised by how big of a hit this song became. It's an undeniably catchy song with an easygoing, singalong feel to it. It's not one of Sam's best songs, but it's still fun to listen to.

 

Victoria: I like this song and was familiar with it before the rankdown so I am ranking it here.

 

Akshar: Gonna probs be very unpopular because this is very Bro-Country but I absolutely love this song! It's so easy to groove along too and sing along! It's just a perfect song to listen to whilst driving on a summer day.

 

Diana: he is one of the most overrated country male singers in the game but it's a okay song and I will give it a fair ranking lol

 

Chris: I certainly made it clear in the past year that I am not the craziest about Sam Hunt's newest material but this one is certainly an exception as it was still authentic to his debut era, and it kinda help that I was still into a Sam Hunt-phase. But as much as this song is a bop, his debut album >>>>> this song. 

 

Gigi: Interesting, but not the song for me.

       

QK: Pretty sure everyone here knows my feelings on anything Sam Hunt related. This song here is a large part of my dislike for him. It's an overplayed garbage song that you use to hear on the radio all the time so yeah no thank you. Wally's comment amused me though as he said everyone will be shook by his advancement but we all know overplayed radio songs are his speciality so I wasn't shook at all. :dead:

"Yours" was the biggest pleasant surprise for me in this game. Not a song I really remembered but really enjoyed listening to it while going over the songs. I'm shocked but very happy to see this making the Top 10. 😮 


Oooh I was mainly wanting and hoping Top 10 for "Body Like a Back Road" so this making it to #9 is a win for me! :haha: This is a really fun song from Sam Hunt and glad to see it ranking so high and well. Also NOT QK out here trying to shade me with his comments. 🙂 Maybe the overplayed radio songs has some context to it, but it being Sam Hunt was what I thought would surprise people as I'm not really a fan of his outside of a few songs. :haha:

Lol I was expecting it but I'm not even mad about it. :haha:  I just wanted Top 10 for that song and it happened, so I'm happy. ^_^

Chris:  Every once in a while, artists release songs that you can automatically relate to & it was the case Miranda's Tin Man - for me, this is one of her most vulnerable song in years & probably her best song since "Over You" ; As well, one of her most underrated song. This was one of the first songs that was released following her divorce with Blake Shelton and you can certainly feel the pain and heartache in the lyrics of the songs. My favourite part of the song is certainly the illusion of the former partner to the Tin Man who is known for not having a heart thus not feeling any emotions post-break-up and can easily move on as if nothing ever was.  I don't expect this song from winning especially with a vocal anti-Miranda in this mini-rankdown so I consider having this song in the Top 20 a victory.

 

Victoria: What a very beautiful song I really enjoyed listening to this song! 

 

QK: While this isn't my favorite Miranda song it is a pretty song so I don't mind giving it a decent rating. Any song shading Blake is okay in my book. :dead: 

 

Akshar: 

Miranda got a beautiful voice and as soon as she starts singing this song, it just captures your attention and I love it. This is one of my fave Miranda songs. She delivers this song perfectly and I felt every word she sang, just a beautiful song. And when she says the "cause love is so DAMN hard", I felt that.

 

Gigi:  This song makes me too sad when I listen to it (I know, it would, it's about heartbreak).  I appreciate the lyrics, though.

 

Diana:  I mean my feelings on Miranda are no secret it's a shock to all of you she isn't lower on this list but I like this song.
 

Steven:  This song is kind of boring.

 

Wallace: "Tin Man" is a really pretty and moving song from Miranda Lambert. It's not one of those songs I remember all that well from her but I definitely remember hearing. I see she performed this at the 2017 ACM Awards and that was a really good performance. Anyway, Miranda sings this song with so much emotion and really connects to the story she's singing. She sounds really beautiful on it too. The song is a little too lowkey for me so I wished there were a few gradual bigger moments to really capture me, but then I get how the song may not need that. It just made it a little tough for me to fully engage in it all the way through. She still sells the song well and it's nice seeing Miranda having a song in the Finals though.

Good ranking for "Tin Man." I appreciate Chris' write-up on the backstory of the song as I didn't realize it was a song about Miranda's divorce with Blake.  And I can totally get how it really resonates with some people. ^_^
