Steven: I was surprised when this song was released as a single. It was a highlight when Keith's Ripcord album was released, but the disco-inspired production is quite a departure from traditional country music. Nonetheless, it's such a catchy and enjoyable tune from Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. The back and forth between Keith and Carrie sells the song well, even though I initially thought Carrie was too underutilized on the track. But now I think it's great as is, and it was cool seeing them perform "The Fighter" at awards show and pick up some trophies for it too at the ACMs and CMT Awards.

 

Diana:  I don't expect it to win because Carrie never can but but radio wise it really dominated the year and its a bop.

 

Wallace: I always really enjoyed "The Fighter" from Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, and this was one of the few songs I was really rooting for to make it to the Top 20 so I'm glad it did. Thank you to Steven for that!  This also happens to be one of my favorite Keith Urban songs, which may be thanks to Carrie. Anyway, I always enjoyed the feel good vibe of this song. It has a fun dance pop-esque flavor to the song but it still meshes well with Keith's and Carrie's voices. I really enjoy how Keith sings the verses of the song. Then I love how Carrie comes in and sings the chorus. They have this back and forth singing style with each other that really works for this song and it's very cool. I also love the bridge of the song, especially Carrie's belting out "heart" at the end! Keith and Carrie also have fun playful chemistry in the video too. This song just makes me smile and so happy! 

 

Gigi: This duet surprisingly works for me.  I like both of them vocally on the song and it has a catchy chorus.  It's an overall great listen and I'll be back for more!

 

Chris:  My high ranking of this song shouldn't be a surprise - I am obviously huge fan of Carrie Underwood and I do love Keith Urban whose one of the most consistent male in the industry. I was super excited for this duet as I was waiting for one for ages and they didn't disappoint. Their voices went well together, and it's super catchy ; I listened to it so much that my partner got so tired of it . Anyway, wish I could have had it at #1 but I very passionate about my Top 3. 

 

Victoria: Cool duet here but I liked other stuff more. 

 

QK: I think their voices blended together really well on this song so that was cool to hear. But past that I don't really have much to say about it. 

 

Akshar: 

To be honest, this song was just fine. Nothing more I can say but just fine. A good enough song to dance too I guess.

Ooh lmao I was working on predictions.... but I'll try to do so for the Top 4. :haha: 

 

Hmm "The Fighter" at 5th is interesting. I think this is a great spot for Keith to have a song come in at, but Carrie probably helped him get this high. This isn't one of Carrie's best rankings but it's still a really solid ranking. I do really like the song a lot, so I'm glad it made Top 5 although I wish it could have been higher.

 

It's also so odd seeing Akshar giving such chill relaxed thoughts on a song as he seems so excited with most of the other songs in his comments. :haha:
