The Woody Allen of it all obviously doesn't help things but that really has nothing to do with my ranking though. I just think the movie's a mess. Wiest and Tilly are having the time of their lives and are doing the best they can with a plot that is just doing too much.

I don't recall ever seeing this movie and it's a Woody Allen film, so easy last place for me. I never cared for his style and he's creepy.

Sorry, but a Woody Allen auto gets a last place ranking!!!!

W**dy Allen can choke. I love Jennifer Tilly though!

Not that I thought this was ever gonna rank well, but I knew it would take a hit when Dee saved this whilst cutting The Lion King. Chungking Express did not need to suffer for Dee's crimes 😭. But I'm glad it wasn't last place. This movie is just a visual feast. I'm not super into the first love story, but Takeshi Kaneshiro is so hot I don't care. But then the second storyline between Tony Leung and Fate Wong...whew. Movie magic. Wong Kar-wai you are a genius.

I think this is the fourth documentary to make the end here? Absolutely deserved and easily the most iconic. Though Tom complained about its length, nothing about this felt three hours long. It was raw and honest and just so real. I'm honestly not a basketball fan, but this documentary is about so much more than basketball. The myth of the American dream, classism, racism, etc. Read everything Ebert says about Hoop Dreams if you want to know how to feel.

@Deeee cut The Lion King?

angry go away GIF

Yeah he did. 😐 In a round where he & Priscilla were paired up, but Priscilla didn't respond within 24 hours in time so he rudely cut it. :broken:

Ah I just saw your posts in here from the other day. I'm glad you're doing better.

lol Bullets over Broadway only getting comments from the #15 rankings. :dead:

Aww sorry to Alex regarding Chungking Express. I feel bad towards Alex there. But Deee did bad things, so I did what I did. 😭 Though I wasn't really into it when checking it out so I wasn't going to rank it high regardless. 🙈

Ooh but Steven has two rankings for Chungking Express (at #12 and #15). I think Tom is missing there?

I'm good with most of this set. I wouldn't have minded Hoop Dreams being ranked a little higher. It did look kinda intriguing to me.

Oop never got around to seeing this one. But a movie starring Alfre Woodard and Delroy Lindo directed by Spike Lee? It couldn't possibly be bad!

Some good things here and some not so good things. This movie is about as fun as you'd expect, I love me some ABBA, a lot of the lessons here are really heartwarming and positive, it makes me laugh, Terence Stamp's performance is phenomenal. On the other hand, Stamp obviously never should've been cast as a trans woman, the subplot with the Asian wife is extremely racist, the film meanders at times. It's very 1994, you take the good, you take the bad.

One write-up because this movie is perfect. Melanie Lynskey? Perfect. Kate Winslet? Perfect. Kickstarted Peter Jackson's Hollywood career so he could do LOTR. Incredible. Lesbian vibes? Certainly.

I watched this when I was first getting into LOTR and haaaaaaated it. Luckily a semi-recent rewatch led me to appreciate it a lot more. I still don't know it's necessarily For Me, but I gave it a highish ranking out of respect, and lack of passion about a lot of these movies lol.

I can already sense my Dee, Megan and Derek removing me from the voting bloc for this ranking.

Good with a lot of these rankings.

Although I would have liked seeing Crooklyn rank higher though. I was really liking what I saw of that.
- So many #8s for The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. That stood out to me for some reason. :haha: But lmaoo did Priscilla really put this at #1 because it has her name in it (as I remember she said she hadn't seen this movie?). :haha:

So I should really blame @goofycilla90? 🙂 I totally didn’t even register it was gone until @Alex95 mentioned it.

Thank you, Wally. ❤️ I’m doing better now.

So weird that he is part of my favorite movie of all-time because I genuinely cannot stand that unfunny anti-vaxxer :dead:

It took me entirely too long to realize you didn’t mean that The Mask was your favourite movie of all time. 💀

They can both get the blame for that, tbh. 🙂 :haha: Awww yeah I tried to forget about that happening. :broken:

Jim is an anti-vaxxer? 😮 I didn’t know that.

He and Jenny McCarthy were at the forefront of it when they were together.

According to Wikipedia, he’s apparently still crazy.
