Dawn of the Dead (2004 dir. by Zack Snyder)

Dawn of the Dead (1978) is timeless! This remake was extremely unnecessary, and I say this as someone who isn't opposed to remakes.

It was while googling the above photo, I discovered there's also a porn star by the name of Audrey Rose, so my write-up will now be the video below:

Shutter (2004)

Oh, another Americanized Japanese horror remake that completely loses all the things that made the original so effective. 🙄 The script was sh*t, the directing was sh*t, the acting was sh*t, the completely predictable reveal of the plot twist was sh*t, this movie in general was just sh*t. Everyone, do yourselves a favour and watch the original that's actually good and not this abomination! Joshua Jackson looked hot as f*ck in it though, don't judge me. I don't know if this is one hundred words or not, so I'll just reiterate that this remake sucked and you should just watch the Japanese original if you want to actually be creeped out by the plot.

LOL I was gonna cut Interview of a Vampire so I could talk about how Anne Rice went super Christian and got mad and threaten to sue fanfic writers for being horny for her hot vampire characters.

She also tried to come for Aaliyah back when Queen of the Damned was being made.

A 1980s co-ed slasher movie! Something I've never seen before!

The Toolbox Murders (1978 dir. by Dennis Donnelly)

A late 1970s slasher movie! With a 0% on RottenTomatoes! An easy cut!

A Disney dark fantasy horror film. It's fine.

What if we stopped making movies "based" on real serial killers. I really don't think we'd lose anything in the film canon worth anything. Except maybe Zodiac.

The Lost Boys (1987 dir. by Joel Schumacher)

Joel Schumacher is a gay icon who claims to have slept with 10,000-20,000 men in his lifetime and if Elliott hadn't made requests to save I may have saved this instead even though I don't feel passionately about it for that reason. The movie is a teen horror comedy about vampires! Love it! How have I not seen this movie before because it sounds incredible. It's very 80s in that it stars the Coreys and look at the gif! It is as 80s as you can get. Anyway, I'm not going to read too much into the summary so that I can be surprised when I watch it but it looks promising. Anyway, this is the film credited for making vampires sexy and young. Without it we may never have had Buffy the Vampire Slayer or personal fave of mine The Vampire Diaries!
