    Random thought: I was watching Rio vs. Zania again today, and I've finally got a word for the look on Zania's face when Rio's performing. It feels to me kind of like "you're doing great, but I'm about to kill it" - not in a condescending way at all though. Kind of like Jordan Smith's look to Regina Love during their battle, if y'all remember what I'm talking about.

    If I got a Special 10 Year Anniversary Viewer Wildcard to the Playoffs, they would give me the perfect song choice, have me close, and give me tons of vocal coaching but I'd still go completely off-pitch and begin crying on stage lmao This makes me think about how impressive it is to me when contestants pick themselves back up after a bad moment (or multiple) and do well for the rest of the song. Sometimes, it isn't their fault, like WILKES, but it's equally impressive to me when they mess up and then they fix the issue and do great afterward.

    This makes sense, and I agree that you said "tend to" since I think it's possible some of them are doing it for completely independent reasons: to do something fun or engage with followers.

    i would guess not just bc she said the closest was never enough, but that could just be bc theater/film stuff i think we interpreted glitter in the air on a sugar high to mean "sugar high" = exciting/fast, but i think it could have just meant like an improved (for lack of a better word) version

    I am leaning the musical theater route cause I think she actually did do musical theater. I don't really see "Almost Is Never Enough," but it fits her genre, so it could totally happen! I just kinda think that when she said it was close, it meant that we were on the right track rather than getting a coincidentally close song name.

    I'm not the hugest fan of Pete, and I like Jordan's tone/texture. I wouldn't be mad if we got a Cam/Jordan T2 for TB, but it seems rly awkward for Blake not to save Pete.

    I don't think that the 3/4 indie artists is necessary indicative of that. I think he picks artists who intrigue him. That could indicate Pia getting it, but he seems to be interested in Zania, so I'd guess her. I'm not as confident as the rest of IDF about Zania moving forward though.

    I think part of it came down to Payge not having a super strong performance (while Ben had a good performance). I think this will the case if Zania gives a good performance but someone else gets picked over her.
