I agree that this will be the case for most, but there are some I suspect will do better live than on the studios, chiefly, Cam. He's a performer, so being on stage will probably add to his performance.

They better get a 10th anniversary Wildcard for Kelly's fourth member cause unless one flops, none of them deserve to go home.

Listened to a few more and here are my thoughts: - Dana sounds good, I prefer Rachel to her but listening to this solidifies my feeling that Dana can get the PV, then she can do a ballad in the SF - Cam sounded good, too, but there were a few runs I didn't like stylistically - Victor? The whole song was just like My Girl to me except worse. I hope I like it more live - Anna Grace's voice sounded SO pretty

But why would his IS song affect Cam getting the PV? It seems they want him to get eliminated - either in this round or the next one - if his IS song is *that* bad

It's possible that they are trying to make sure he doesn't make the finale, and there are two potential reasons: - Blake has had two in the finale both times we've had this format so far, so they want someone else (prob Kelly) to have two spots this time - They don't want people to think Pete made it far b/c of his connection w/ Blake, though they didn't have this issue with Meghan Linsey

This 100% feels to me like a repeat of everyone here thinking Cami would beat DeSz, but we'll see

They may let him get a good T9 song if they know Cam will beat him. Then, when it really matters, they bus him with the IS song.

Do you meant CS? If so, I'd more or less agree. I think IDF is overlooking the possibility of Zae getting the CS, and although it doesn't seem as likely as Corey getting the CS, it's definitely possible.

I actually thought something similar, it depends on how Zania approaches the song. It seems based on what people are saying that her studio isn't super excellent, but she may do better live.

I noticed Carolina's "polarizing" (I don't think it's that polarizing, but it's not universally liked) tone shined through a little more here than it did in her knockout.

Dana. Last season, most of IDF underestimated the power of the voting bloc that really likes powerhouses like Dana (and I'm not trying to box her in at all, I think she's actually pretty different from a few of the African-American powerhouses we've had in the past, but I think it's how the voting bloc works, just like how there's a voting bloc for pretty much all of male country).

Barracuda sounds like it fits perfectly for Savanna, Carolina got a pop powerhouse belt-y song, don't remember Emma or Devan's but I remember thinking Emma's was good.

I can already tell that the Team Kelly results will be devastating. Anyone on Team Kelly leaving will suck, especially with these songs.

I know, right? He's SO good! I think it's a good song choice for him, though it gives me the vibe of a song that's overdone (whether or not it actually is).

If these contestants perform similarly to this, this playoffs episode will be one for the ages. I know that it's unrealistic to expect that, but I do think we'll get a few very very good performances.
