No I’m not. I have Jordan as country adjacent, and I’d say Cam is more soul/pop then true R&B. Also while I think Cam makes the finale regardless of team, I’m not sure if he has a shot at winning if he wasn’t on Blake’s team, bc Blake’s team is a preference that helps balance out an aversion. The audience often doesn’t take to the super run heavy contestants. Just in terms of winners though, we haven’t had as much/recent as we have with country and pop. But yeah, that’s the one I’m the least sure of

The audience has some very clear systemic preferences: Blake, country/country adjacent, older w/kids OR teenager, white, male and systemic aversions: r&b, John, 20’s, female, Black A white male country teenager would probably still do well on team John, conversely for a Black female to win, they probably need to be either a teenager, or have kids (preferably young and photogenic), and be on team Blake. But because these biases are varied, it is not true that the audience will always prefer a white singer to a Black or male to female, other things also matter. *all of this subject to change with Ariana’s appearance

I teach APWH, and just for the record I've been voting Dana all season & will be voting Cam in the finale. Maybe take a half second to think about the context in which something is said.

Speaking of Rachel, apparently she's currently taking AP World History (otherwise known as WHAP). One of the exam sittings is Thursday. Her teacher posted to the WHAP facebook group that she doesn't think she'll be taking the exam this week I might have to go throw her a few votes now out of respect. APWH is HARD and time consuming, doing it while on a tv show is impressive

Dana, Pia, and Zania, are all very different artists. The fact that IDF is screaming about a basic white male winning, while stanning Corey for being robbed Jordan was better then Corey tonight. If you're going to complain about robbed, that'd be Dana and Gihanna

It's interesting that team Blake does well in the IS, but not in the playoff vote (for the 9th spot). If it's just Blake's army, you'd think he'd win both

I voted for Gihanna and Dana, but Jordan had my second favorite performance. The first three were weak in song choice or performance or both
