I think Kelly is actually most contestants second choice (for those she isn't first choice). She's the fairly clear second choice for all the country singers, and I think also a lot of the r&b more serious musically (after John). edit: @QueenCamijinx

I think I just meant we're picker overall, minivan wants the song sung as they're used to hearing it sung. But as long as you don't make to many changes to a song they like, they're happy with a competent performance. We probably are more ok with changes to the song, but have higher expectations about the vocal/performative aspects. Last week Kenzie changed the song to much, this week he took a song they loved, and gave them a recognizable and reasonable performance

not surprised, he did pretty well with a song they love...and he didn't try to change it much. Minivan isn't as picky about being pitch perfect as some of the people on here

We've all said it, but he needs to move to Nashville (or Austin) and just gig. Also he needs to get his guitar back. He's a laid back dude who likes to play guitar and sing. The flashy outfits and more performative parts just don't feel like who he is.

Blake would've been a better coach for him (and Kelly loves country and knows it...but I think stylistically he's closer to Blake)
