Don't close your eyes. But trouble is a close 2nd, that was surprising how well he did with that considering just how uptempo it is.

"Don't Close Your Eyes" was absolutely gorgeous.

 

If Omar hadn't done "Somebody to Love," DCYE probably would've been my favorite performance of the night. But it was definitely my favorite by Bryce.

Goodbye Time still got me. But I enjoyed his finale set as well, and he's been pretty consistent since T10 week.

Good choice.  T-R-O-U-B-L-E is a tough song to sing, with so many words to sing real fast. He could have easily messed up the lyrics.

 

Bryce and his band also covers southern rock songs (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers) so he can always do rock and roll. I'm glad he got to show a bit of that in the finale.

Talk about redemption. Travis Tritt's song "I'm Gonna Be Somebody" put Bryce in the Wild Card when he failed to get the PV in the playoffs. Travis Tritt's song (cover of Elvis) "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" may have helped Bryce win The Voice.

 

But I think the song that helped Bryce turn his season around is his T13 song "Amarillo by Morning" by George Strait.
