Chris: One of the best out of the past year, and loving all the success that she has found with this song. 

NGM: Most her of new album finally sold me on her (I'm lukewarm about mostly everything else she has out there). Easily the best mainstream country has to show for after the trainwreck of a year it had.

QK: Love Carly and 29 was easily the best album of the year and it wasn't particularly close in my opinion. I was able to see her in concert twice last year and I am going to see her again in March so I am excited about that.  If it was a different song like "What He Didn't Do" then I would have easily put that in first place but Next Girl is still a really good song as well so it got my #3 ranking.

Another fun fact Next Girl and Half of My Hometown tied for the Public's number 1. The only way I could figure out how to break the public tie was to go with the highest ranking and NGM ranked Next Girl #1 and Half of My Hometown highest ranking was from Taylorkat at #2 so I gave Next Girl the public's #1 spot and Half of My Hometown #2.

Danggg Carly's "New Girl" slayed and it wasn't even close.  A whole 2 and a half point difference between #1 and #2 is insane.  

 

Happy for Carly as I did really like her song and found it fun. I've seen her perform it on various talk shows/award shows over the years. I'm happy for the success she's been getting.  

 

Also LOL @ QK mentioning me robbing "half of my hometown" from the Kelsea round.  I didn't realize that cut would have been that big of a deal but with one of my top faves from Kelsea getting cut that round, I have no regrets.   But lol I'm glad it's got its chance here. Still not one of my top favorites of hers, but that song did grow on me ever since it became a single. And I am glad it got its roses here in this game with the #2 ranking.
