How the tables have turned and I hope they feel vindicated being on the right side of history when it wasn't the easy or popular thing to do. Well said Also, admire them for changing their name. Someone648
I don't come around this part of the forums that much but I've always found them to be absolutely badass and I adore them despite not being a country fan. I think it's very cool that they chose to change the name (although tbh I wish they would've just switched out Dixie with something else - just saying "The Chicks" feels weird lol) Looking forward to the new album! frederick
I actually LOVE the new name! The Chicks is so good. Also the fact they dropped Dixie is good because it doesn't sound AS country anymore and I know Natalie is over the country genre and crowd these days after all that happened to them. Not much longer for the album! I hope they actually don't have to push the album back now because of the name change, though. I pre-ordered on Amazon.
hayden98
Any particular recommendations from The Chicks? Gaslighter's been a jam and I think I may check out more of their music
Solaris
@hayden98 any of the singles form their last 4 albums are worth noting. The entire Album of Wide Open Spaces and Fly are worth listening to. Not Ready to Make Nice is iconic for the message they were portraying at the time. One of my favorite songs from them is Cold Day in July. Its been one of my favorites since I was a child! hayden98
Oooh nice, thank you!!! I'm familiar with Not Ready to Make Nice (and Cowboy Take Me Away, I believe). Thanks for the rest of them! I reckon that'll be what I spend the next while listening to

Gaslighter's been a jam and I think I may check out more of their music I feel like their greatest hits album would be the best starting place, since they've released a good chunk of singles, and their album-only tracks are more traditional country than the country-pop sound of their singles. But here are my favourites from their albums with Natalie Mains as their lead singer; no1curr about the albums prior. Wide Open Spaces: I Can Love You Better Wide Open Spaces Tonight, the Heartache's on Me Fly: (I imagine this album will be the one you'll recognize the most songs, as the singles from it all did very well) Ready to Run If I Fall You're Going Down With Me Cowboy Take Me Away Goodbye Earl Hello Mr. Heartache Sin Wagon Without You Heartbreak Town Home: Long Time Gone Landslide Travelin' Soldier Truth No. 2 White Trash Wedding I Believe in Love Godspeed Top of the World Taking the Long Way The Long Way Around Not Ready to Make Nice Everybody Knows Lullaby Lubbock or Leave It I Hope Also check out their live album DCX MMXVI Live, as they re-arranged a lot of their songs and give them a rockier edge.
