  1. i think the funny thing about the spoilers (as someone who indulges them every season) is that there is a single user on this forum who, if they wished to, could singlehandedly gaslight an entire website using semi-plausible sounding song choices and advancement results. like someone has that kind of power and i don't think it would be as hard to pull off as it sounds? and that's hysterical?
  2. fun little fact; kate did the lianne la havas version of say a little prayer! idf finally (technically) got its much desired lianne la havas cover!
  3. so am i stupid or are both links not working/just all pop ups for me?
  4. According to their Instagram bio, NOIVAS' pronouns are he/they! Have we ever had any contestants on the show that use they/them pronouns before?
  5. NOIVAS: "I Was Wrong" (Chris Stapleton) Grace West: "See You Again" (Carrie Underwood) Sorelle: "Evergreen" (YEBBA) Ray Uriel: "Sunday Candy" (Nico Segal/Chance the Rapper) Ryley Tate-Wilson: "Strange" (Celeste) Gina Miles: "Fix You" (Coldplay) D.Smooth: "Adorn" (Miguel) Holly Brand: "Up to the Mountain" (Patty Griffin)
  6. sources really got us excited for a unique song/artist choice only for the interns to throat punch everyone on this thread, huh? (at least he sounded fantastic)
  7. Is no one gonna mention Blake’s, “I specialize in sixteen year old girls!” to Jacquie Lee?
  8. honestly, i wouldn't be shocked if they got saddled with "don't stop me now"
  9. i would argue that while he wasn't pitch perfect, i don't think i've ever seen a voice audition with that much pure soul. i absolutely loved that he started a cappella (with such a stripped down arrangement at that), and, if nothing else, he's proven himself to have an insane range and a hell of a lot of artistic candor–two qualities that'll do any contestant well in this competition. definitely a worthy four-chair; i'm really excited to see where he goes from here, because his trajectory on the show from here on out seems like it'll be pretty interesting.

  12. Gonna do this a few at a time, starting with the older seasons, since no one's given a lot to them thus far... Javier Colon had an absolute winner of a tone and some killer vocal agility, and the creativity he exhibited with some of his song choices is a virtue that modern seasons of The Voice are dreadfully missing; for sure deserved to at least make finale if not win altogether. Jermaine Paul was a part of a monolith of four incredibly diverse finalists that helped Season 2 of The Voice stand out even amongst its early seasons, and he helped make an R. Kelly song not completely unbearable. Cassadee Pope is the first winner of the show who experienced a legitimate, palpable growth arc, rather than maintaining consistency throughout the season or experiencing a dip in quality during the tail end of her run; her performance of "Over You" is probably the first legitimately fantastic "iconic" performance a winner's ever given on this show, and the amount of growth she exhibited throughout the lives made her a clear choice to win amongst the finalists. On the other hand, Danielle Bradbury was nothing but consistent on a season where most of its strongest vocalists experienced nothing but valleys amidst their peaks; a fantastic tone and a series of solid song choices throughout the competition doesn't hurt, either. Tessanne Chin is one of the strongest female vocalists that we've ever had throughout the competition, rising above the occasion and being one of the few winners to legitimately be the best voice of their season. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is but one of a series of insanely strong live performances, and the fact that she came out on top of what might be the strongest Top 12/13 of any season of The Voice says a lot about her prowess, creativity, and artistry. Josh Kaufman, conversely, is one of the strongest male singers we've had in twenty seasons, hands down. He overcame so much to secure such a well-deserved win–from the bias against older performers, to being the first winner who's been stolen, to having to scale the mountains of Christina and Jake's voting bases, and, throughout the season, he completely transformed every song he sang into something genuinely glorious. Genuinely one of my favorite winners, hands down.
  13. is this season's cast fighting for the "most expected song choice" award already?
  14. i guess if we're asking vague questions about the auditioners thus far; any alumni from other shows (idol, the four, etc.) or no-chair returnees?
  15. audition pimp spot and everything! i kinda have to wonder what happened?
